Tell me about it :\. I live in ****ing backwards society. When are people gonna learn it's not the 1950's anymore.

I still don't understand why there is even a debate. if you support it super, if you don't why waste everyone's time trying to stop something that doesn't effect you in the slightest?
Ahh, yes... speaking of Christian marriage.

I don't say I don't like them, I just don't support that kind of marriage between same sex poles. I find it counterproductive instead of productive and that they, as a parents, will be a bad example for their childrens.
So, once again, I don't say I don't like them, I just don't support and it's against my religion to have marriages between same sex poles(even tho I'm not much of a religion person).
So your religion doesn't play any part in your feelings, then?
Homosexuality isn't setting a "bad example". If you want outlandish arguments about how it halts the human race then I'll just say that with overpopulation an ever present threat, you will be begging for more homosexuals down the line.
Countries don't put a limit on the amount of children a family can have for fun, you know.
That's may point why do these people care what gays do. Gay people aren't trying to take over the world just have human rights.
Ugh this is one of the many reason I'm no longer a Christian. According to that I'm just trash for a man to own and have no rights at all. Good thing we had a change called women's rights. I hope gay marriage leads to more rights for gay people it's about damn time.
Is it true that being gay is not a choice ? that you are born with it ? Just asking...i dont really hate gay people but i just dont like to see them kissing and doing the nasty infront of me lol but other than that they can do what the **** they want seriosly just because they like to **** other men does not make them non humans and all humans should have the same rights :P
alright thanks for the answer :D Btw i would like to se the rednecks approve gay Marriage lololololo
To my knowledge science hasn't come to a concrete answer yet (someone plox correct me if I'm wrong) about what causes homosexuality.
But I can tell you first hand that no, it's not a choice. I never chose it, and when I was younger I wanted so desperately to be straight so I could be like everyone else, get a family like both my brothers, etc. But I just can't feel anything for a woman the way you can't feel anything for a man.
Edit: Murxy beat me to it. q-q
It is if it's from the bible but like most things people tend cherry pick and choose what they like. After sitting and really going through the bible I found that it was just not something I could stand for.
Back on topic wonder how long the it will take for the @ss backwards hicks here in the south make this law.
don't see the big deal...
The problem is that people are "old-fashioned" as mentioned before hundred times. Old and "not so old" people have been raised more as a "mass person" than individual. So now they are trying to raise us in the same matter and that's how it goes on and on. We are no longer in a time they lived(which was pretty shitty and cruel and overall ****ed up).
The mentally weaker ones just let themselves get supressed and added to that mass which is very strong as it is and even for a person who has a "character" and can be individual can also be converted to the "mass" sooner or later. You can be an individual but in most cases you still have to "follow" the mass just so your life stays on rails.
My 2 little cents from my life and philosophy teacher :p
I think at this point people are trolling....
In the ideal world we are all equals but sadly in todays world To much hate :( hopefully when my children grow up the world will be a litle better than how it is now :(
This shouldn't have started the argument it did. I am a Christian but I don't believe god hates gay people, I believe they were born that way, it's just the way they were made. And if they want to get married, it's they're god given, unalienable right to do so. I believe everyone should have the right to live life the way they want, and I think it's un-American to deprive people of the right to happiness.
Those kids are not born that way. Their brain can't tell which one to love, because they don't have the sense to love(not even before they born especially), that is, what my teacher say, disorder. Major role play the parents in how they will raise that child and in with whom he is surrounded.
Many factors are applied to that child, in how the parents use the cloth style, hair style, his behavior/discipline.
There was one example what my sociology teacher said: Friends of her who had a seven year old kid was dressed as a girl and let it have a hair like a girl and you can't even possibly that, that girl is actually a boy. On that vacation my teacher had asked her friends(I think she said they were her friends) "Who is this pretty girl?" and they said(nervously) "That's not a girl, that's a boy." She said she felt ashamed because she couldn't recognize whether it's a boy or girl. That is not alright to dress the kids like that, not especially on that age, because they will start to addopt and act like a "girl" to say.
I don't find this much relevant to what you've actually posted, but the surrounding and the parents play a major role in how their children will act and who will love at those later ages when that sense will show up.
I am sorry if I said something wrong/bad/incorrect(feel free to correct me), but I am awake all day and my brain is not in the mood to think in what I will say(I feel like I'm drunk). :)
sidenote: we all know that Pride is coming up. well, previous mayors of Toronto, David Miller, Mel Lastman and Barbara Hall, always made a point of being there, as have many other people in Canadian politics, including Jack Layton, head of the federal NDP, and his wife, fellow MP, Olivia Chow. It's a meaningful gesture, in my opinion.
so, current Toronto mayor and gaping asshole, Rob Ford, has said that he will not be attending, because he wants to go to his cottage instead.
:hmm:
Lol gay marriage isn't gonna affect our country in either way good or bad. Its just one of those things that don't really matter in our country's future. The only thing that would make society have a ''great leap forward'' is some kind of HUGE economic break through... or a miracle.
