Allods Online any good?

I've been hearing good and bad things about this game, i just want to know if i should give it a shot. I don't care if it's a WoW clone, long as it's fun. My main question is, is it a grind fest?

It kinda bothers me that most things in this game just isnt fun, I can imagine it being fun at maxlvl with certain classes but... I started out playing the Mage, because of how the class is built all viable playstyles are simply moronic, you spam some 2 abilities over and over, the entropy system is WAY too limiting and I don't understand how the developers don't see this.

Almost all classes and abilities in the game have some part of it that makes it shit and I don't understand why this is the case...

For example they just removed self heal from one of the summoner attacks, I'm already dying enough and serf-healing offensive playstyle was one of the few fun things with the class...

you're doing something horribly wrong. summon pet have it attack use poison bolt use poison skill insta dead mob. thats how it is playing a elf summoner you dont even need the heal.

If you are dying with Summoner so often I can't imagine the horror you would face as a Warden. While Wardens do have a pet too they are much harder than Summoners. Check your build and find out the best skill rotation.

Summoner is the easiest class there is.

To be honest after you reach the first city things do start getting more exciting and complicated. I understand what you mean by the early levels, they are quite boring. But again, they are meant as a tutorial and as a way to get some early items. But yeah, hopefully the removal of Fatigue makes it faster.

Wardens have different playstyles, they either play as a crit warden or a pet based warden and then it goes down from that to what kind of weapon you use.

I've got to say I was pretty skeptical, but you are right.
the skepticism turned into a huge surprise.
the EU version is fairly populated.
I used to play on the NA version because I've been told the EU version was completely dead (played on the NA version for like a month or so).
but you are definitely right, it's far from being dead.
I see people everywhere.. the zone chat was active at 1AM GMT(!!!) and now (9AM GMT) the town is pretty much packed!

Never played but from what I've seen, they are not recommended. Simply because they can give you a hard time at certain points of the game and are overall more difficult to play.

Unless that character is incarnated.

You can't do PvE and PvP. You have to choose between the two because there aren't enough TP and Rubies to supply you to be good in both.

Start with PvE, gear up, get all the lvl 7 runes and then incarnate and roll a PvP hero.

Summoner is the easiest. Warden is kinda easy but I would be cautious calling them "easy to play".
Warrior is simple and moderate. No idea about others.

Ah hmmm i do like doing huge damage over 10k damage and so but not HUGE fan of melee class though hoping for ranged type but looking into warden aswell

Patch is live but I was looking at some threads and saw something about endgame costing a crap ton of gold to get runes that aren't nearly as good as people who pay real money for them? Sounds kind of stupid but whatever.

Edit : I'm kind of disappointed, it feels like they reduced the leveling rate for some reason or am I just imagining it?

From what I understand, psi's are the punching bag for the devs currently, at least in PVE not sure about PVP.

That's usually a good sign to start playing one.

Either they'll be compensated for their unpowerment, or it's a game by devs you wouldnt want to be playing either way. ^^
