HK server sells A rank plans for about $3.50, ogp sells them for $6
They(OGP) sell completed A ranks for $8, only $3 less than an S rank in KR
So I'm to assume they'll sell S ranks for like, $18+ or something

They also make a fortune off that cash shop. The cost to develop costumes is pretty small. Alot of players buy those costumes once they pick their favorite heroes. Its a successful game with some pretty solid production values.
People have failed to mention that most of the new champions in LoL are starting out clearly OP to milk out gamers of either IP (ingame currency) or cash. Then few weeks later when the sales of the said champion are down they nerf/adjust the champion to it's actual designed strenght.
In case a new champion is too weak they hotfix it to be clearly OP.
Yes LoL is probably the best F2P game out there but it's still a milking machine like most of F2P games. Personally (as a gamer) I'm all into B2P/P2P games since they deliver in quality, updates, customer service and most importantly equal grounds for players. SWTOR being the major exception in this case, by being B2P+P2P and having really bad endgame (As a single-player experience it's superb).
The best games of future will still be P2P/B2P games.
F2P games are only popular because they are free.
