Good Games
I have played hundreds of games in my time. Atari 2600- Everything Current.
It may be that I am getting older but games seems to be getting sh*ttier.
Everything that is released these days is a rip off of something I have already played or done so badly a good idea is completely wasted.
Where are the "good" games?
The only games that I have any hope for this year are C9, TERA, and GunZ 2 but knowing the quality of most games that were ported to the US and EU it is very faint.

I happen to agree. The quality of games seems to have dropped off into the deep end, more recently. Games no longer hold lasting appeal, like they used to for most gamers.
I always say: MMORPGs are like toys for children. You give children a couple toys and they play with them for a while, but you give them too many and they have trouble picking out which ones are more exciting. You give gamers too many games, and suddenly each one seems to be of lower quality than the last, none of them holding their interest for long.

I see these sorts of debates going on a lot in other forums.
Imo, if you are a older gamer, as myself. Youve prlly played thousands of games. Therefore, the chance of something new, and amazing coming along is pretty low. Expectations for games are high the way it is. Let alone toss in a gamers ego and before you know it "no good games" exist
By this time, youve played the best of the best in gaming. Some ground breaking ideas, some just a new paint on an old car. If you arent happy with the games coming out, you need to focus on changing your attitude with that instead of blaming all the games. You need to understand that not everyone has played thousands of games. New people are encouraged to become gamer each day. New faces. New minds. Not spoiled by hundreds of thousands of hours put into games.
I mean, i see kids these days who dont even know what Donkey Kong is.
Wtf right?

I think the only recent games that literally shattered the traditional mold was Portal and Portal 2. The MOBA games perhaps as well. Otherwise the rest are just evolutions of the same old stuff we've been playing for years.

Have you tried Entropia Universe lately?
ive been going 4 years strong in it and not loosing any interest yet, I am told it is quite a bit different than the other mainstream mmorpgs.

Most innovative gameplay frameworks go bankrupt. Stick to ARPGs.
