Bleh, almost like winning lottery if you get picked.
Guess we are stuck waiting for OB :s
Well, I got an "answer" about the data-relevancy, whether I believe their "answer" is another story altogether:
Quote:
Hello <first name>,
Thanks for getting in touch. The relevancy is to help sort country names, so that someone who types the letter "U" will be more likely to get "United States" than "Uganda." The data-relevancy has nothing whatever to do with prioritizing applicants.
Sincerely yours,

The reason why I don't believe it, is because other drop down menus don't have data-relevancy added when it comes to countries.
We'll I'm buying. For example Finland which is a rather small country (population wise) compared to France. I wouldn't be suprised starting with F to rather fill into France than Finland.
(Thus there's more data-relevancy of the signer to be from France than Finland)
from the beginning, they have stated that it's the same engine s GW was developed on. They also stated even though the engine has been tweaked a bit to make GW2 look great, GW2 will be able to operate on older PCs.
How old? Dont really know. I would suggest it being about the time they began developing GW2 (which is slightly over a year after GW was released).
Since they have made the game "old user" friendly, I am more than positive that they are spreading out the testing to target everyone from low to high end specs. Besides, Arena is a smart company that knows how to make the $$. Keeping it B2P and allowing low end spec users to play would increase their target audience and their profit by almost twice that what these moron developers are doing with these new MMORPGs.
Also, keeping it B2P and not thinking of targeting the low end users is super moronic in a business move.
Interesting. Well then, I guess I'm going to have to pray extra hard now.Quote:

Everything they asked will affect your chances of getting in the beta.
Except for the e-mail address which is for contacting purposes :>
So umm, I'm wondering how many people they are actually going to invite from those 1million...
I mean, about 10-20 thousand is the usual amount for a free to play mmo right?
so maybe a 50-100 thousand margin could be pretty good scaling, but that many people would be hectic... but then again, it's not gonna be any different at launch so they might make this a "big" beta.
what do you guys think? how many will they actually select?
Only way to get guaranteed entry is if you have a triple core processor.
trolololol
Hopefully i get in with my shitty 9400GT card
