Need to build a gaming computer

The budget is $1000. GAMING computer please, would anyone mind telling me what parts to buy since I'm not that great with this stuff?

Change the case to a 30USD one and you're pretty much at 1000USD.

I have a question though. Why i5 and not i7?

i7 has hyperthreading, which actually brings down the actual performance in games back to the level of an i5. So, to save 100USD, it's better to get the i5 instead of the i7.
