Cartoon Network: FusionFall
Please move if the thread's in the wrong place to be. :D
FusionFall is a Free MMORPG. It once had a Membership, but now it's completely free.
This game stars characters from the shows on CartoonNetwork.
Such as: Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Dexter's Laboratory, PowerPuff Girls, Codename: Kids Next Door, Ben10, etc.
The story goes: You are one of many heroes who is sent into time into the future in Dexter's time machine. But due to DeeDee's (Dexter's sister) annoying button-pushing, your character is sent into the future much more than Dexter intended. Your character meets up with Ben Tennyson and Numbuh 5. However, after a while, the CartoonNetwork characters are struggling against Fuse's minions, the main antagonists of the game, who plan to absorb Earth to their home planet, Fusion. The characters retreat to Sector V, where the Kids Next Door are struggling to hold off Fuse's minions. (Their treehouse is almost absorbed.) You must go on several missions to fix Dexter's time machine to be sent back to the past to prevent the full scale invasion by Fuse's minions.
Character Creation: There aren't classes or specific armors in this game, and you are unable to type in your own name, as it is targeted toward young people. (I think) But despite that, you can customize what starting clothes your character will have, as well as physique, height and skin color.
Nanos: FusionFall doesn't have skills instead it has a feature known as Nanos. Which are like pets. Nanos are a mini version of the character itself. Each has a unique ability, selected by the player, such as Speed Boosts, Healing, etc. However, to acquire this Nano, you must go on a mission, automatically given to you at a point, and defeat the evil version of that character. For instance, if I am going to get a Buttercup Nano (which is the first Nano you get) I must find the portal to Fusion(evil) Buttercup's lair, and defeat her.
However, on some Nano missions, you must defeat a certain number of enemies before you go attack the evil character itself.
Uses of a Nano: As I explained earlier, Nanos have a unique abilty assigned to each of them. Now after defeating the Fusion(evil) character, you must choose one out of three abilities for that Nano.
Besides combat purposes, Nanos can assist in getting to places faster or making grinding easier.
One of these Nanos that support that is Numbuh 2. His "Lunch Money" power is passive and will increase your collection of Fusion Matter (EXP) and Taros (the currency).
Combat uses aside, they can act according to your emotes, or weep when you die (knocked out).
Leveling Up: As mentioned earlier, Fusion Matter is the game's currency. But in order to level up, you must earn a Nano. (Or that's what I noticed when I played it.)
Community: I don't know how to explain this.
You are unable to chat unless you (or if the player is a child, a parent) enters your email on the main website in Communications on "My Account".
Hovever some bugs make you unable to chat or invite other people to be friends, and the censorship in chat is very strict.
Questing: Some quests require alot of back and forth and/or have time limits,
which is rather annoying (in my opinion).
Weapons and Equipment: There are seven types of weapons in FusionFall.
These seven are: Rifles and Pistols (single targets), ScatterGuns (3 targets at once), Single Target Melee, and Multiple Target Melee (I just made those up since I forgot their proper name).
Now, Shirts, Pants and Shoes are the defense.
However, Hats, Masks, Capes (or backpacks), are only for decoration.
There are also two types of damage.
Damage to Single Targets: Rifles, Pistols and STM (Single Target Melee) excel in this, but lack in Damage to multiple targets.
Damage to Multiple Targets: ScatterGuns and MTM (Multiple Target Melee) excel here, but lack Damage to Single Targets.
Transportation: There are vehicles and warp points (transportation for a price) to help you with travel. But there are a few downfalls for these. One of both is that you MUST talk to
MoJo JoJo's Goons: MoJo JoJo's Goons help you by carrying you to one location to the next. They are noticable with the tall, purple and white helmets.
Pros: Cheaper than S.C.A.M.P.E.R.. Carries you so you can get a good look at the landscape. More locations.
Cons: Slower than S.C.A.M.P.E.R.
S.C.A.M.P.E.R.: This is a KND transportation. Their NPC is a KND Operative.
Pros: Instant here-there transportation.
Cons: Less locations. More expensive than MoJo JoJo's Goons.
My score: Good 3.75
Despite chat problems and others, this game is unique itself, combining all the CartoonNetwork shows, old and new.
