Gimp Help Please!

Okay, I'v made a big list of pictures to explain my problem. This is the tutorial I'm using for an example. This should be pretty clear, and if it isn't, I just wasted like 2 hours. Hope you can help.

1. Open Gimp.

It does that with every render I have. The white stays. If you can help me, please do. Oh, and also, can someone tell me how to resize the picture while your doing this? like the person who wrote the tutorial did.

You need to save it as .png, if you did, I don't know, I don't use GIMP.

can any 1 of u tell me the exact link to download GIMP plz:(

to resize the render just open up the render then go to image>resize
and just put it to the size u want and for the gimp download just go to the gimp site>windows downloads or w/e>automatic download
