I, as a fanboy, would beg to disagree:
-Everything will be polished, this itself is pretty awesome.
- Every class has unique features, which may not seem ground-breaking or new but it's a start.
-Sheer amount of skills to choose from and the way you have to aim and dodge means you'll actually need, pardon the pun, skill to master this game. Even hack'n'slash games nowadays don't need a lot of skill.
-This game has a story, and a pretty damn good one. It could be a book.
-Music by Jeremy Soule
-Voice overs make the game feel like it's high quality.
I could go on, but people are under the impression that for a game to be good it needs to be different. Which is half right, but for me, a good game is fun and feels smooth. The systems that have been put into place in GW2 aren't there simply to be different, they're there to make the game a better game.
Anything more radical may take away from the game.
For example, I'm pretty sure if they wanted to GW2 could've implemented a flying system (they already have an underwater system, so they're already using the X,Y and Z axis, so flying wouldn't be difficult to make) But this takes away from the scale of the game, if you can just fly over every monument. Also it makes the game more complicated. Sure, flying would've been cool, but the reality is that it makes the game less fun in one way or another.
Combat System and Questing System mainly, there are some other details but I doubt that if a GW2 clone was made, these details would be implemented.Quote:
How exactly would you identify GW2 clone? It's just a normal mmo, only difference is it's really well polished and made with intention to be a good lasting game not to make some quick moneys like most mmos.
