Best antivirus?

Best antivirus? Which one do you use?

I use avg free and malwarebytes free.

MSE at the moment.

I currently use Microsoft Security Essentials, I was previously using NOD32/Avast/Panda.

and before anyone asks, Windows 7's firewall is excellent, I recommend TinyWall to control it.

Windows 7's firewall does a pretty good job, I don't ever have any visitors. Occasionally I'll check, just to make sure. I use Avast and Malwarebytes. Not really an antivirus but very useful in manually finding and killing things is Hijackthis.

If you have a legit copy of windows, grab MSE and Spybot S&D.
If you don't have a legit copy, grab Eset NOD32 and Spybot S&D.

HijackThis is easily one of the best tools I have ever used when it comes to computer issues(especially with friends/family), it's great for removing any BHOs like toolbars instantly.

My windows fell off a filthy pirate ship and MSE has given me no problems for the past year.

There's a chance MSE refuses to install when you've got a pirated copy.

The one good thing I got out of DeVry University: Tons of free Microsoft software, including Windows 7 :D

Same here.

theres a lot tbh but theres no "perfect one" it depends on you. Some av will slow down your pc. Just use malwarebytes. If you download lots of files then get comodo or any other free avs.

If you don't download anything (just browsing the web) then just install malwarebytes, disable it from running on your pc 24/7 and run couple scans every month-ish.
