Mine is personally B&S
1. Because it's art is absolutely beautiful
2. Looks different and has different mechanics from other games.
3. Combat seems fast paced.
4. I'm buying in to the hype
5. It's been my most anticipated game since 07ish

ArcheAge if it comes out this year
1. Amazing CONCEPT JUST AMAZING 120 classes
2. Sandbox - puts creative players to the test
3. Cry engine 3 - that alone will get alot of players to try this game
4. ITS JUST AWESOME
Path of Exile
PSO2
wizardry online is very high in my list too but im not too sure yet if it will be a grand success
Path of Exile
Blade and Soul
Successful and anticipated are entirely different things for me :(
B&S does have nice graphics. ArcheAge's sandbox system is nice... I guess Firefall, Star Citizen, Cube World, and ArcheAge will succeed. Because they appeal very strongly to a large demographic. Firefall appeals to TF2/Halo players, Star Citizen appeals to Wing Commander/Freelancer/EVE players, Cube World appeals to Minecraft players, and ArcheAge appeals to WoW/Aion players. None of these companies have budget problems, and each of them are giving importance to aesthetics... Unfortunately, you need to milk your playerbase with cash shops and go on a rampant advertising-spree in order to be truly-successful... And I think only Star Citizen has both the budget and marketing-foresight to be able to do this. I think that FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, and World of Warcraft also have a good chance of success, because they seem to be the favorite games of Square Enix's and Blizzard's CEOs, which means that they will have money just pouring into their development.
TL;DR - Star Citizen will be hugely successful because it has a huge budget. World of Warcraft will be hugely successful because it has a huge budget. FFXIV: A Realm Reborn will make a comeback because it has a huge budget. And a bigger budget means more content, more advertising, a retail presence, and multiple friends telling you to play. All other PC MMOs quiet-down after the Celebrity Livestreamers stop playing them.
1) Well I think the big-budget games will be the most "successful"... But the games I am anticipating are Otherland, ArcheAge, TheRepopulation and Star Citizen (sandbox games)... Arche Blade, Dungeon Striker, Alicia Online (lobby-based games)... And several indie-projects that are on hiatus such as Infinity The Quest For Earth (space sim). Now why don't you Google all that?
2) When I played the B&S closed beta over a year ago... Remember the slow-paced combat from FFXIV closed beta? Yeah. Well, B&S combat was like that. Graphics were beautiful, but the main quest NPCs kept glitching and the combat was unpolished. Blade & Soul may have improved in the past year, but after experiencing Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World, I stopped hyping it.
We can name some big names like the new lineage, but for a smaller independent MMO would bet on City of Steam being big.
From playing the beta you get the feeling that the game world is huge right from the start and that the story telling is better than most.
Just based on hype and past experience - The Elder scrolls online stands a chance (If it's anything similar to the elder scrolls then even the single player should be fun)
I think PSO2 is going to do really well. It works perfectly as a F2P title. I'm looking forward to it.
I don't know about B&S succeeding. I think they're taking way too long with that. I played the beta, it's very beautiful but eh. I think a lot of people wouldnt pay for it.
I think TESO will be a bit hit. The combat is similar to Skyrim and the mega server idea will be interesting. As long as they have some decent exploring and some of the ideas I throw in if I get into beta then I'll be playing that from now on as my main MMO.
That is of course if FF AAR can't hold my interest as much as that. I think TESO will be better then XIV but at the same time I wish it wasn't. I love FF but it seems like it will be awhile before we get a good MMO out of it.
FFXIV:ARR looks like it'll be pretty good. Hopefully they're putting as much work in as they're implying with the blog posts and such. At any rate I've already picked it as my mmo choice this year and I'll stick with it for a while even if it isn't that great right away.
Defiance Online
The game is awesome, it reminds me a lot of Tabula Rasa
The only thing it has in common with TR is that it will be shut down pretty shortly after release unless the show is amazing enough to carry the game...
I think TESO will be good and archage english in 2014.. strong resurgance for both tera and ff14 f2p models as well
Obviously you have not played Defiance yet. Also as much as I want to see it be great. TESO will be a MMOFB massively multiplayer online fail bomb. Bethesda all ready proved they are not that good at making games that are outside of there usual. Such as Fallout 3.
The sad thing is I didn't know about defiance and POE good thing I don't find them interesting though. So no change in my hype for B&S
I'm still trying to figure out why I still love it
I'm mainly pumped for The Elder Scrolls Online purely due to beta sign-up page... Instead of just giving out keys to random people who are probably just going to play the game and offer nothing towards development, they instead ask for REASONS why they should give you a key... They ask you if you're part of the press/reviewer (Which will help spread hype and awareness), they ask what content you enjoy (to give them an early indication of what they should incorporate into the game) and just general questions that show you that they're really trying hard to make this game as enjoyable for the players as possible...
At the same time i'm also worried for this game because this will be Bethesda's first time creating an MMORPG (which is more reason for them to really try and find the best beta testers to help point out their well..."amateur" faults)
Other games i'm looking forward to are Blade and Soul (although it will probably be B2P), PSO2 (I play on the japanese version and it is just such a high-quality game)... Path of Exile came out today and i love the passive skill tree! Only complaint right now is that it needs more active skills but those can be easily added in future patches.
i bet on blade and soul :)
dark horse pick - Origins of Malu
I bet most of ya never heard of it or forgot about it.
me wants a warhammer 40k MMO
