Island survival? The first thing that popped into my mind was Lord of the flies or Battle Royale by koushun takami.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy, sorry.

Lord of the flies. It is a good book. My teacher made us read it when I was in highschool but I enjoyed it.

I never read Lord of the Flies in school. Read it on my own though, was pretty awesome.

I never read Lord of the Flies, only watched the movie. That, and Grave of Fireflies destroyed my childhood.
