After hitting level 27, I have come to agree with Mario. Its virtually impossible now to level without a party.
Just to compare for people who are just beginning, or still low level where you can level solo.
The level 26 Quest gives like 30 something thousand exp, or 40 something, i forgot but its around that, that off the bat is 50% to your next level/J level. However, you have to kill 70 normal monsters. In the time, and zeny count it would take you to do that solo, you would easily accomplish it in maybe 5 - 10 minutes max with a group. Hunting solo becomes expensive, because the 100 hp potions are 200 zeny a pop, and I have almost 100 def (but not much vit), and they still hit me anywhere from 60 - 90 hp, 60 if im lucky too. I only have 1400 hp so it goes down fast. Its not hard to find groups at all, atleast on poring, usually I just type "Invite" in chat in the area im hunting and im invited right away.
After you hit 25, the event hardmode quest is impossible too. It will range anywhere from having to kill a bunch of VS mobs to having to take on a freakin VVVS mob (which is pratically a mini boss).
This is why we go battle priest~
