Mario Kart: Double Dash screws me over 98% of the time..
I generally refuse to play MMOs with broken RNG crafting/upgrading. Ultimately what happens when you build endgame around microtransations (p2w)
Dragon Saga? Yeah I heard the enchanting is a terrible money sink in that game =x
Cloudnine enchanting. (Basically when you upgrade your equipment they become INSANELY strong especially once you reach +7 to +10).
Insurance boxes which came with a perfect protection meaning it fully protects your item from breaking and downgrounding aswell as a x2 item that makes it have 2x the chance of enchanting (Each box cost $15 for those 2 items).
Odds of getting +7 was around 8%, +8 6%, +9 4% and +10 1%.. so you could imagine how much some players spent to upgrade all their gear to a standard level.
Just an example of how OP the enchanting system is my 67 bow +8 bow added around +28k dmg compared to +10 which added 60k or so dmg LOL.
I managed to finish off end game with good gear but it took alot of work and I didn't spend a whole lot which was good compared to some others who spent alot!
Anyway thats my story lol.
Try Ragnarok XD I hear people gotta blow tons of cash to upgrade their stuff... RNG upgrading is just asking to be P2W. For me it started with knight online.. I think i reached like +18 with a claymore or somethin when i was younger, then i tried for +19 and it broke and i quit lol.
Edit ; maplestory too.. Lost my doom bringer trying to scroll it, quit on there as well.
wat. is that even possible. </3
i hate to brag but most of my equips -- was able to reach almost 80-95% of end gear. Gambling loves me?
this is true real money is involved, though IM can also be trade to in game currency.. so farming is the answer.
im poor. i dont wii.

Well enchanting / upgrading is also one of my hobbies in-game /aside from pet and costume fetish/ and a
was also able to have +30 items on Requiem at mid-lvl.. lol. why did I ever quit that? I usually farm stuff.
I'm a farmer.
I'm experiencing really bad luck on PSO2... but so is everyone else.
The whole game is RNG. the challenge is never the fights or areas themselves, it's all about rolling the dice.
for example... there's a weapon called psycho wand. you could dump THOUSANDS of hours into fighting the boss who drops it, you could easily kill the boss every day for YEARS and never get it.
this RNG can be seen in every other aspect of the game too. upgrading weapons is all gambling, I lost about 10million meseta(currency) upgrading a weapon to +10(max) yesterday, some might spend 100k, some might spend 20mil. PSO2=online gambling and nothing more.
cash shop is also about gambling. you can't just buy the costume, the emote, the mag costume you want. It's all gambling. spend $50 on the gachapon and maybe you'll get what you want, but you probably won't.
I think the entire game is just set up to take advantage of people with addictive personalities, not necessarily to be fun.
@Chiyeon, yes, because it was open beta, RIGHT when the game came out live.
+10-> +11 in tera after 10 tries still failed, and 20k gold spent. Yeah, but still trying xD
I wonder how much time I'll need for +12. And I mean +12 whole gear.
I got into this thread about to answer, but then I start wondering why exactly someone else is using my signature. To make people think I'm posting if they're just glancing through?
I just don't mess with upgrading systems at all, since I know my luck is horrid.
I think I can nao appreciate that I can upgrade my stuff almost end-gear* grade.
speaking of luck.. It is also applicable on Market / Trading / WTS / LF / WTB (etc)..
timing too, I suppose. after every event every player haz one of the 'rare' event items so they sell it at low price.
Supply and Demand.
