That's a lot better CPU-wise with a small but solid improvement on the GPU part. Less HDD space but that shouldn't be an issue unless you torrent a lot of stuff.

Also HL2 on max setting can do every half-assed PC out there today. BF3 max settings with that? I doubt it. In comparison, according to the GPU hierarchy from tomshardware (taken the GT650), my GTX285 > that GTX645. No it can only run BF3 on medium with a couple of high settings on 1080p.

Now, what's your actual budget? I might get you even something better than those both.

I can run BF3 on max settings with a Phenom II x4 955 and a Radeon HD 6870 and 8GB of G.Skill Ripjaw

750 would be the max budget. I don't plan on constructing anything, just something that's premade.

I missed this one apparently. It's a decent upgrade on both CPU and GPU compared to the other one I've linked.

I've also found this gem but that's 20USD out of your budget unfortunately. ><
