Rift vs Guild wars 2?
So I have characters that are around mid level in both games and im trying to decide on what game I want to stick with to get a max level char. I'm still relatively new to both games so I'm wondering which one would be worth it in the long run? I don't have much in depth information on either game I'm just going off of my impressions so far.
I enjoy GW2's fluid combat that feels very action oriented but on the other hand kind of disappointed in the lack of skills there are to choose from as you level up. It doesn't feel as rewarding if you cant look forward to getting that awesome new skill at level XX. Although weapon swapping kind of makes up for this a bit, it still doesn't feel like your character is changing very much as you gain levels. It's mostly the gear that changes your character. However there are a lot of well designed features in GW2 that make the game a lot more intuitive.
I really like Rift's soul system and the fact that there are so many combinations/roles to choose from and you can switch between them on the fly. I also like how they set up the dungeon queue and pvp queue systems and how you can just join a dungeon party or warfront at any moment. However the combat system can be a little bit stale at times and kind feels more like WoW. Plus traveling around the world is a lot more annoying in rift since you have to walk everywhere as there seem to be very few places where you can warp to or have portals, unless I'm just completely missing something. In comparison to Gw2 where you can warp between load points all around the world at any time. Overall I would say Gw2 is designed a little better.
Can someone explain what both games have in terms of endgame content, both pve and pvp? Maybe you could share some of your experiences if you've played either one?

Enjoying rift more then I did with GW2. The moment you're done with the tutorial in rift, you can do raids, and there's a occasional zone event where a shit ton of people participate in. You don't even need to quest, but you can choose to follow the story, and the auction isn't really used, cause you use a different kind of currency at certain vendors to buy your next gear (which last 10-20 levels).
Guildwars 2 is only enjoyable if you play in a party all the time.

That's the other thing i liked about Rift, instant adventures and stuff make it easier to level even if you don't have people to play with. Leveling in GW2 is kinda tough if you don't have a party, at least for me.

Rift has pretty good animations and okay visuals. The character designs might not be great but the environments are okay and the sound is very well done especially in the endgame maps where you have the echoing in caverns. Still I admit it won't hold a candle to GW2 visuals. But, to reiterate the the camera controls are much much better in Rift than it is in GW2
