Thanks Xaenex! I tried this game out tonight because of your suggestion and played for about 5 hours so far. It's really fun. Also funny. I'm really enjoying it. Small player population so far it seems. It's definitely an alpha game right now, but there's a lot to enjoy. The loot system is great. You can buy from npcs what other players sold to them! There's a lot of game features that are unusual and I like them very much. I got killed by a cow boss who cursed me and when I re-spawned after death I became a cow, went around for about an hour getting cow levels so I could get to cow level 5 so I could wear a useful piece of armor I found, then went about getting myself turned back. As a cow when I used chat it turned some of my words into mooo sort of randomly, and I earned beast speech improvements, whatever that is.
The game is classless, so learn whatever you want to. If you're not picky about graphics then check it out.

I've always had an issue with browser-based mmorpgs as well. Additionally my computer is about 8 years old and having the internet browser open while trying to play a game is asking for major lag.
