Nobody is seeking pure peace but this onrpg-sucks-forum-pvpers-badass cancer or whatever it is, is way beyond the line and the banning purge should continue.
And your massive picture spamming in those Event-Coverage articles is crashing my browser. Why're those still there? Especially since you're posting 50++ pictures of 1~3 MB on a single page. I thought by now people would've learnt that it's possible to downsize pictures.
A vast number of people don't have issues with images of that size. A big part of the review is to give users the opportunity to see screenshots of the game and they often like more than less. There are usually only 5-6 .jpg images loaded with each article, and sometimes (usually only on MMOHuts) an image gallery is provided. That gallery only loads thumbnail images and loads the full image as you click on the thumbnail images. There really shouldn't be an issue unless you're using a computer from 1994 and/or a very bad satelite or dial-up connection (both of which, I assume, is quite rare for the userbase of OnRPG/MMOHuts).
The image spamming in the chatbox, however, caused an error of sorts sometimes and would make use of the chatbox impossible because the images were so huge compared to the size of the chatbox.
Tbh I've never had problems with the huge images on CB lol.
I know Nick crashed a lot though.
I'm not talking about game reviews. I'm talking about things such as this: http://www.onrpg.com/articles/editor...ight-mobile/7/ .
Stop looking down on people if you don't even read their posts. And if you're still confident that no one should have a problem loading this page: There are people who don't live in metropolises and have a 10 Gbps connection.
I live in a town of less than 900 people that requires a drive of 35+ minutes in any direction on a 65MPH speed limit High Way to get to the nearest town (not city, town). So it's not like you have to live in a metropolis.
Articles like that which you linked are meant to be image heavy. The whole purpose of them is to share pictures from special events that happen once a year. They appear two or three times a year when someone from the OnRPG/MMOhuts team attends the special conventions. If that's you're worry, it shouldn't be as they appear so infrequently. Heck, you're looking at an article titled, "Sights, Sounds, and Cosplay of Day 3 Part 1" that implies that it will be image heavy.
Okay. But not everyone lives in North America.
It's not about the amount of pictures, it's about the size. There's no problem with a page that contains 50 pictures with a size of 200 kB each. However, it's just not feasible to have fifty 2 MB pictures on a single page. It's really not that much work to edit a picture and reduce it to a reasonable size.
Except for rare occurences, those articles on OnRPG are read by how many people each? Before you removed the viewer count, it was 20 to 100. If you want to improve that number, I think you should try to listen to every little suggestion and every little piece of critizism instead of blindly defending your output.
Dizzy, phan and I are still waiting xD
Wait, what? You were actually rewarding them?

I'm impressed with my ability to not get banned on forums despite being a smug and argumentative bastard.
It's gotta be the swag.
