At least orange yoda seemed like a temporary character.
I finished watching it feeling like I really liked it, but I couldn't help wonder how the costumed people around me felt. Cool to know some of (at least one of) the bigger fans enjoyed it.
I was surprised to see such a high score on rotten tomatoes. Usually they shit on everything but even they were extremely positive.
The part I liked the most were the callbacks to previous movies. I kinda expected them to shuffle everything off like "lol oh yeah this happened before" and do something completely new. I'm glad the original trilogy came into play pretty heavily. I went in completely blind. I didn't even know Harrison Ford was in it! I avoided all spoilers and everything out of apathy, but after seeing this one I'll definitely be back for the next two. I might even see this one a second time.

Yeah, the new Star Wars was like a remix of A New Hope. All of the elements were there.
SPOILERS!!!
Down to Han Solo being the Obi-Wan Kenobi to the new characters, dying to a lightsaber before their eyes and then subsequently coming under fire from Stormtroopers and then escaping before the Death Star/Starkiller Base gets destroyed by X-Wings.
