Yearly Theme?

I've been reading lots of comments lately. Kind of more than usual. But starting from last year and coming through this year. It seems there is a theme in all arguments. It is "Did you do your research?".

Is that this year theme? What do you guys think?

It don't seem much of a valid argument though.

"Did you do your research" seems more of a 2005 thing than a 2017 thing.
Let's be real, forums aren't prominent anymore.
Well, because of Reddit anyhow. People just expect the smart people to be upvoted to the top, and the fact checkers to comment and call out any bullshit.
