I liked pretty much the fact that jemhadar comes in as race as well as the cardassians. pretty cool also is the fact that new players now can jumpstart with a jemhadar but sadly miss some of the base story:) but all together a well rounded expansion i still need to finish^^:)

For insights about the Ferengis you should also search for the Rules of Acquisition. The nice thing about those rules is that the 1st one stated by the Grand Nagus is the 160ish (don't remember the exact number), and when asked why this was the 1st one, is answer was something along: "to create a market demand for the previous ones".Quote:

The best part of VIL is the story. This has to been the best work they have ever done with it. Its the right tone and feel of the show DS9 and having the cast is amazing and add so much to the game play. Makes you feel a part of the DS9 crew on the show. And then there is the Jim'Hadar who are just amazing to play as.
...Garak. Andrew Robinson is such a nice man in person and brings an innocent malevolence to Garak, so cynical and smooth, wordly-wise and unassuming. Love that they put more Garak in the game (*Spoilers* he replaces some characters in other missions too!).
I watched the dev team take the stars of DS0 thru the newly revamped station. It was great to see the station looking more authentic. STO is a great game and I love all the stories. This revamp will really help[ to bring the old show back to life.
... is how many of the Deep Space Nine cast they were able to bring back to reprise their roles. And the actors could have just 'phoned it in', but I could tell they were as committed to their characters as they were when the show started 25 years ago.
My favorite part of Victory is Life is the new Sector Battlezone. It really makes me feel like I'm waging a war for control of the Gamma Quadrant, despite the bugs!
My favourite part about Victory is Life is probably Garak and all the other DS9 characters playing a big part.
My favourite part of the ViL update is the newly updated DS9, true to the TV series and much easier to get about now.

My favorite part has got to be "Quark's Lucky Seven". I thought it was a fresh take on what can easily become a monotonous mission grind. It did an excellent job mimicking the movie it is clearly based off of and if you watched the incorporating ds9 episode beforehand it's has just that much extra special meaning. Loved this mission.
There is so much to love about this expansion.
DS9 is my favorite Trek series, and that's coming from someone who was in front of his TV on September 8, 1966.
"Victory is Life" is a love letter to DS9, and the movie we never got. The background music is catchy and delicious, and while I'm only about halfway through the new content, I'd have to say my favorite thing about the expansion is its attention to detail.
An example:
The animators have managed to capture subtle mannerisms so perfectly. When you're having a conversation with Garak, he does this subtle head-tilt/eyes-widen thing that Andrew Robinson used magnificently to convey an aura of "Of COURSE I know more than I'm telling you," while his mouth was spewing some nonsense about being merely "a simple tailor."

The best parts of the expansion for me were the facelift DS9 got and the original cast of DS9 doing voice work.
My favourite part is the Vanguard Carrier :P So many pets! Now I just need to rank VI it so all my other characters can use it....
DS9 was my favorite Star Trek so I love almost everything about the expansion. The revamped DS9. More dominion integration. Practically everything!

The best thing I love about the new ViL expansion is... PURPLE!!! The UI is purple, the weapons have purple "pew-pew", and the ships are even purple! Did I mention purple is my favorite color?

I am enjoying the new STO Victory is Life expansion, for one thing, one of my favorite races, the Cardassians, are now playable. The Jem'Hadar have some of the best looking ships in my opinion and seem to be really powerful. I would love to win this giveaway especially for the Jem'Hadar Vanguard race which comes with really good ground and space traits and abilities, plus the Jem'Hadar are just plain cool.

I really like the update to DS9 and bringing some of the original cast to the game.
The best part of Victory is Life far and away are the new missions. The teams put so much into crafting experiences like none ever seen before in STO.
But more than that, are also the little surprises you encounter along the way. While the team has the DS9 actors in for the ViL voice work, they also added them to all sorts of old missions. If I wasn't also lazily leveling up a new Delta Recruit from a month ago, I might never have noticed the extra touches.
What did I love about the expansion? Where do I begin?
- The insights into the Dominion, and how it's much more divided than we thought, ie the defiance of the Karemmans and the infighting of the Founders
- the history of the Dominion (and the Hurq) that it delves into
- explanations behind the FekIhri!
- just the DS9 cast in general. It was a delight to see/hear these characters again (especially Garak, Bashir, Weyoun and Quark)
- the Ferengi mission and everything about the Ferengi mission (*Ferengi scream*)
I love carriers and there are not many T6 carriers in the game right now, also I missed the few that were given away during summer/winter events. The new Vanguard Carrier is awesome, I look forward to buy it eventually! :D
Also, the revamped DS9 is great (and no more running around the whole station to switch back and forth from exchange/bank terminal to ship related stuff) :D
