umm i think this game might not work out unless there's a big player base.
It also seems that if the focus is on developing your specific nation, the individual character will be lacking in either skills or builds of sorts.
alot of people want to feel like they alone are powerful and can hold their own in pvp.
But this is just my opinion.
Heres a question. What time period is this game in?

Most game creator teams don't have a problem for a " idea " of the game, but the " development " itself. I do like some of your ideas though and would play it, but the mmorpg market is not up for new ideas, becuase new ideas can either lead to downfall, maybe it will succeed but that maybe is enough for them to not do it. Instead they'll just rip off ideas, I mean even WoW ripped off nearly all their ideas, but of course made them better which lead to their success.
Either way, new ideas = a chance developers don't want to take in their pocketbook. I'd say the only company that could take that chance is blizzard but I doubt they'll make another mmorpg for a few years now.
Though their is one game that is taking a chance, Age of Conan. I skeptical on the game, it looks good, but we'll have to see. Reason I'm saying it's different is it'll have a lot of economy factors and changing the combat of the game compared to other mmorpg's ( in a good way )

combat is definitly an important role in mmorpgs
but heres an idea.
do you guys remember gold saucer in ff7?
it was the best arcade ingame i have ever seen.
If this game has a gold saucer people could spend time there getting high scores and earning prizes.
just a thought
