Ya, people who are in the average classes are the people who don't study, don't to their homework, and not listen in class.
I only do the listening and homework. Studying really bores me, and I can't focus.
My teacher called me lazy since I only had 100 read pages done, and it was already half a quarter. I was suppose to read 1500 pages. She said I shouldn't be in the Honors class. But I want a challenge. I don't like being in slow classes. They bore me, and I don't listen which shows on my tests. B's and C's
“You can't teach people to be lazy - either they have it, or they don't.”
Hehehe.
“I was very lazy in the sixth form at school, I wasn't motivated properly, I handled it very badly and I was not given a place at university to study medicine.”
That might be true.
Sometimes kids, don't want to study because it isn't fun. And they rather be playing video games. But what really motivates them is staying on the school sports teams.
Hey, being laziness is a job within itself. ^^
I love procrastinating...though my parents hate it, I'm like whatever. It's too bad I'm not some rich heir who can afford to procrastinate forever... >.<
Thats a horrible quote, even more so since you spent the last couple of days thinking it up.
Laziness is just the term coined to,by educators to label students reticence towards certain subjects.
All that really differs...is whats the persons minimum is. Some is zero and others are 50%, and so forth.
I think that instead of putting 'but' you need to make a new sentence beginning with 'only'.
^Grammar *****^
I like the simplicity but it's not like it covers the whole world or anything.
Not true. I've met people who are lazy; but very smart. I've also met those people who aren't lazy, but don't do well. You can't sum up how the brain works in a sentence. You might think your quote is right; I don't think that. It's not how lazy you are; it's the amount of dedication you put forth.
For example, if you read this Brain Man article, then you'll see that Daniel is a very talented person. Now, according to your philosophy, does that mean that everyone can be as smart as him if they aren't lazy?
I don't think laziness has anything to do with how smart or dumb you are. Just because someone is lazy does not mean they are stupid. Just because someone isn't lazy doesn't mean they are smart.
I don't like calling people who take longer or can't remember some stuff than you can, stupid.
I like this definition of stupid : "Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes."
Also to add to the Brain Man thing. I just watched it.
I'm sorry for using such a harsh term but my quote isn't refering to "******s" or people with disabilities. That whole other thing.
Your brain is a mystery. No one truly knows how it works; people are trying, and it will be a huge achievement when someone can decipher the messages in the brain. Because no one knows how the brain works means that no one can say it's your own fault that you're not very bright.
Now, the fact that someone is lazy has nothing to do with how smart they are. People who are lazy tend to not do things because; well, their lazy. But just because someone receives F's all the time doesn't mean they aren't smart. For all you know, they might be a genius who would like to spend their time on things other then work or play. When I was in high school, I knew a kid who didn't do his homework at all. He prefers to just sit in a park and observe things. However, he could ace all his tests no problem.
There are so many people who are lazy. It doesn't mean they are dumb. I think you might want to think a bit more about your quote, or perhaps try and explain to me what you mean.]
Your "quote" is invalid because there are stupid people in the world.

Read the webpage and tell me that there aren't slow learners, or mentally ******ed people in the world. That'd be lying.
You can't take a word and give it a different meaning. Thats like saying I want the word, "*****" to mean hello. >.>;
Basically, you thought wrong.
Again, not everyone is capable of acing "that" test. Some people have a mental capacity of a 7 year old; some have a higher capacity, some may have even less. Can a 15 year old ace a test if he/she had a mental capacity of a 7 year old? (Guessing isn't included.)
Telling me that everyone is smart would mean that you'd be lying.
Lazy or not, there are still people who have difficuly to learn. I have several friends/classmates who have this issue, and you see them studying their ass off, but they (unfortunately) fail in the end.
Well, for some people, it's hard for them to remember things. People are different. Some people just understand things faster then others. Some people might get something naturally, while others don't understand it at all. Being lazy doesn't have to do with how fast someone gets something. Learning something that you don't understand isn't easy; trust me. Many students work very hard, but once they see that they can't get it; they stop trying.Quote:

Those classes are for those people who understand things better then others.Quote:

You can't just say that lazy people are dumb, and non-lazy people are smart. Life just doesn't work like that.
I'm lazy. Am I "stupid"? (Well, the answer is probably yes, but whatever...)Quote:

Let's just say I'm telling this quote to an average Joe in high school and it's meant only for him.
You didn't, but it sounded like that's what you were going after. You said that there are only lazy and non-lazy people in the world. That's as if you were saying dumb people are lazy, and smart people aren't isn't it?
I am a lazy ****. I procrastinate like crazy. I never start on assignments on time and I have trouble remembering formulas and history dates. Am I stupid? No. My best friend is in the same English class as me. Do I think he should be in the same class? No. To tell the truth he tries REALLY ****ING hard to do something but always ends up failing. I graded his short story assignment, it had grammar mistakes and a lot of run-on sentences, but he tried hard. Don't stand there like a jackass saying my friend is lazy. It was hard trying to tell him his story sucked, but I did it. (though not in that way, i helped him rewrite it) He kicks my ass in Math though, and musically he owns me.
That sob story aside, there are people with learning disabilities that are not lazy. Get off your pedestal and realize that not everyone who is flunking or failing is lazy (though i suppose you'd be stepping onto another pedestal with that move).
My thumbs swollen....does that mean I'm stupid?
