could be a great deal if you are going to stick to the game, but if everything dosn't work out you will have to go into the trouble of selling your account

The LOTRO NDA just got lifted.
I got a beta invite a while back and played the game for about 2 weeks before uninstalling. It's terribly boring. I played several classes during my time and none of them reached above 20, mostly because the combat system is boring beyond belief. First class I tried was Minstral, a combination of a bard/cleric. You have to constantly mash buttons really fast to musical tunes to heal with. It's the worse possible design for a healing class ever as you will get cramps within 10 minutes.
Loremasters are a crap excuse for a class, a combination of a pet class and a nuker. While they're supposed to fill in as the magical damage dealer, they have a "mana transfer" spell so expect to actually be pumping the Minstral with mana instead for the rest of your grouping career. The rest of the melees felt pretty similar to me but I did enjoy the Burglars the most as they are the best to have in a group. Most played class was the Hunters so everyone could name themselves after a certain elf. Hunters are medicore too.
LOTRO will probably sell high the first few weeks until people realize the lore and storyline portion of the game sucks so LOTR purists will get pissed and leave and the actual gameplay is lame so people that just like MMORPGs will leave after a while too.
