At first it may have seemed as if we had a lot of support for the Wii. But over time it became apparent that this poor little hardware-fad wasn't going to receive any real games for quite some time. Worse yet, it may be a docking station for casual games alone. The PS3, however, can stage a final assault on the Wii with a fall line-up that could turn the tide of its media reputation.

Hands-down, the PlayStation 3 cannot catch the Wii in hardware sales for this year or next year. Fad or not, even if the Wii loses steam this fall, there's still Mario Galaxy, Mario Party 8 and Metroid Prime 3 (amongst others) that will easily pick up the slack and put the Wii

I like No.1, 7, and 10...if they only released GTA4 at the same date as the PS3, PS3 could have won the wars...

they forgot final fantasy XIII -.- .

thats not the only games would **** Wii. and the guy who wrote this article is pretty stupid by not putting the game that actually make playstation worth to buy which is Metal gear Solid 4 .

and the number 3 game will fail since i saw the video and the camera of the game is f***** annoying and also the attks r so repetative .

MGS4 was delayed till next year.

The guy is writing about games that are coming out this year.

well sorry about that but some of the games in that list r not really that interesting -.-

The Wii is already being ***** by game reviewers. Parents who aren't familiar with gaming just buy it for their 10 year old children now.

Hah, points for how you put it. I do think some of these games are sexy looking and I'm glad you posted 'em for a preview, but I can't see the Wii budging.

To be honest, I don't think the PS3 will murder the Wii because of one reason: the PS3 is $600. Wii, $250 dollars. Simple economics. Sure, the PS3 has better graphics, more games, etc, etc, but the Wii is cheaper. I don't want flashy, I want fun. Truth be told, I've never even touched a PS3... Because I don't need to! The Wii is fun enough that I don't need to spend an extra six hundred dollars (outrageous for a console!) on another game system. My Wii, and Xbox 360 are all I need for a fun, relaxing time. Also, Nintendo consoles have been, and always will be, party consoles.

I keep seeing all this stuff about Star Ocean 4, but how to they even plan on continuing that series after Tri Ace shit all over the universe they created with the ridiculous plot twist in Star Ocean 3?

By the way, FFXIII is not going to be out in English for years and years, so stop it.

and one question, if gta4 is multi platform, why will it only boost the sales of the most expensive console it is on? why not the $200 cheaper xbox 360?

Ive seen jakuza and about 90% of his posts knock some other console, or say how good some piece of hardware in the ps3 is.

right, in retalliation, how can the ps3 compare to the fun in super smash bros, or project hammer, or wario ware. Or the rpg prowess that is Legend of Zelda. The ps3 may have the graphics, but the wii has the gameplay. and by the standards of people like you, will have a much better online community.

If lair isn't multi-platform then I'm going to have to buy a PS3. Another thing, WHY THE **** ISN'T ASSASSINS CREED UP THERE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Nothing. Even gimmicky controller aspect of the Wii is implemented in the PS3's SixAxis. If PS3 wanted to it could realse games just like whats on the Wii.

this apoc here is one hell of a fanboy ... its was little about the console, but more about the games. Once again, sales numbers don't lie ... jesus ... seems like more people prefer the cheaper Wii and their more innovative and fun games ...

Wii will always beat the ps3. Its far better in price range and fun. sure gfx are better on ps3 but most normal people would rather buy the more modestly priced X-box 360 or the wii.

Also might i say that Wii will also have a list of games that will dominate the ps3.

I think that you guys think this is a gfx vs gameplay argument. This simply isnt the case, when you get to play on the demo of Ninja Gaiden Sigma you will be so gutted that you didn't get a Ps3.

If anything arguing gfx vs gameplay is kind of self-defeating as to some degree they are inestricably linked.

I think its safe to say however that the ps3 is a long-term investment that is going to get better and better and leave the wii looking worse and worse.

Ok well, firstly you are looking at this from a very short-term perspective. It is obvious why the Wii has sold so many, its current price.

The PS3's sales are a ticking timebomb, waiting to explode with that first slash of the price tag. I think its pretty apparent that thousands are waiting to get the PS3 when the price cut happens.

Secondly, unfortunaly Cinderboy, common sense doesnt prevail, thats why you see 50 cent hit the charts at number 1 so often.

To everyone whos comparing graphics to gameplay, this article didn't compare them. Hes talking about games that would litterally murder the Wii. You wouldn't be able to run such games on this piece of hardware. The games on that list are hardcore and you will most likely not be able to see such titles on the Wii. There aren't alot of games on the Wii that will satisfy the era of hardcore gamers, who want epicness in a game, and challenge. Nintendo actually has Zelda, props to them. But there aren't many games that are fit for people who love blood, violence, and graphic whores.


People want the Wii, because they look at the price tag and the fun it brings to multiplayer gaming. I give more props to Nintendo, the Wii is doing great in sales. A PS3 is only for people who look at the price then ---> want a quality, -all around- hardware. Thats why I wanted a PS3, I knew it would satisfy me, and it does.

Fun, cheap and innovative = Wii.

Complete home entertainment system, expensive = PS3.


Theres nothing more to say. Diss the PS3 all you want, people, but in the next couple of years, when swinging your arms around gets boring, the 100th Mario game comes out, and your looking for more of an epic revolutionary game don't come running to Sony expecting open arms. Expect a 'We told ya so'. The PS3 is pushing limits in our next-gen consoles. There will be change. Of course the Wii will proly be running steady, but the PS3 will be darting for the win.



Wheres the 360 in all of this? Nowhere. There isn't much change from the Xbox to the 360 if you just actually realize it. A 360 with no extras is just an Xbox with a new design, toned up graphics, NO HARD DRIVE, and a new interface.
