A lucid dream is a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming, and are in control of your dream.
I.E; You want an expensive car, the expansive car will appear right there, and you can drive it. You want to kiss a girl, you're able to make the girl appear right there next to you, and kiss her. It's essentially complete control over everything that happens in your dream. Supposedly, it's possible to "master" lucid dreams, and have them at will.
But aside from that, dying in your dream usually means you're trying to find an escape from the things that happen in your everyday life, according to dream interpreters.
Doesn't have anything to do with dying in real life.
