For me, It's Les Claypool. The guy is insane and very unique with his sounds.
People usually say Wooten or Flea are great bassists, but to me they are over-rated. Getty is an awesome bassist, but i hate his singing xD.
Who's yours?

I would say Steve Harris from Iron Maiden.
I have to echo the Les Claypool love. The guy is just constantly creative, and not even I give him enough respect. (I haven't bought one of his nigh ten plus solo releases, only sticking to Primus stuff.)
Next, I'm going to say Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Let me be clear with this: I no longer respect them as a band. They have fallen too far into pop for me to give a shit about them, but I can't disrespect Flea. In too many of their horrific pop ballads, Flea is the only person keeping the songs from being untolerable.
Sure Stadium Arcadium has a lot of really soft songs, but there are still some great songs in there. I still love RHCP fr what they are. :3
Mark hoppus.
Carlos D. from Interpol. He's an awesome bassist, and a DJ. What more could you want?
