Opinions on web-design layout

I'm posting here to get a direct general idea of what people think of my web page layout.

Everything you see there is of my own work, except of the javascript to make the rounded corners, which is under GNU GPL licence.
And the layout itself is currently void of images(0 images used), short of those little "Email this" images that are part of the blogger template script.

The colors are already somewhat what I want to use, "monkey" colors

I do want to tweek the content of the side-bar still, not happy with that. But otherwise, what are your guy's opinions on the layout?

I want to get a good idea of how my audience seeing the page and such.

Looks like a normal commercial/spam/pop-up web.
Oh and to bright.

Ooohhh...now it makes sense. XD Had no idea what you were talking about when you said rounded corners, and an "email this" image.

Well I'm not good at judging layouts, but it needs some different colors. And when I think of monkey colors, I think of brown and yellow. <_<

Dude, all I got are two small google ads on the page. One on top, and a smaller one on the very bottom. Good web hosting doesn't come free, you know.

And I don't have any pop-ups at all. Something that I despise, and I'd rather try any other method than to have pop-ups.

How much does your hosting cost? Should be cheaper if you have ads.

Anyhow, it looks nice, but the colors really do need to be changed. They all clash and don't look well at all together. The font is also pretty unorthodox for a technological (is it?) website. I think you should have a Times New Roman: Trebuchet MS: Verdana family.

And it would probably look nicer with a logo. :)
If you need one, I could try making one. But after I do a sig for someone. :)

I wanna do images for you! :D

Yea.. that yellow is blinding me.

and you need some kind of border that separates your background and your blogs.

has a wierd byond site feeling to it.

you need some sleek design to go with it.

and a better choice of colors

Anyway, Marineking does know what I am aiming at.
I want to keep it simple and quick loading. Reason why I spent the time to find a good method of making rounded corners that didn't use images.
The less images, the better really.



Anyway, with the major complaints being on the colors and really nothing else, I'm going to assume that the general positions of content and it's format in it is good, something that I was mostly hoping to hear about.
