Michael Moore. Eh, I dunno.
I haven't seen this yet, so I can't say much about it.
I can say that I don't understand much of the Michael Moore hate, especially on the topic his latest is about. With health care in America, you either recognize that the whole deal is hilariously effed over, or you are in denial Michael Moore had no bearing on the truth on this topic.
I mean, the guy can be a bit of a dick at times, and he just might BS you into an interview, and have his way with said interview (allegedly), but you simply have to be that way to keep afloat in the oceans he treads in. Maybe he can turn a new leaf when certain talk radio/jocks on certain cable news stations stop acting far more worse in a few hours of show than Moore has been in his entire career.
You know, I have been following the man for a while, and I can't say that he has changed at all. Isn't Sicko in fact his most subdued movie in terms of his usual wankery?
Moore still wins for putting a second gate outside of a gated community, and not letting the residents out (on an old TV show of his). I will forever support the man because that segment.
Maybe I'll give the movie a watch tomorrow.
As much as I dislike Michael Moore, he does bring up good points in the movie. I have an ice skating teacher who works for the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a surgeon of a father. With these influences in the medical sector, I am well aware of the problems facing the U.S. healthcare system.
I am also well aware of how silly of documentaries Michael Moore makes, whether or not he brings up some good points. They're mostly propoganda, and that's why I avoid them. I don't need his film to point out what I already know.
