I'm the best basketball player around by neighborhood, by far. I'm known as the basketball player around where I live. Everybody wanted me on their team. I was so happy with my game, until I went to basketball camp. It was like a slap in the face. I met a lot of people there, and a few were better than me (even though they were older, some by a few years). It was frustrating losing to them... I was jealous of their skills.
Oh, and some more basketball related jealousy. I got cut from my school team. Later, however, I found out that the team was basically pre-picked, and a bunch of people who KNEW the coach got on the team, just because of that. For the whole year, I was subject to
"WOW, you didn't make the basketball team?"
and
"How did you not make the team!?"
...I'm gonna make the varsity team though. Then I'll bore you all with another story about basketball and me. :D
