You can see that the buildings far away it's a freaking picture. you can see it without even trying hard. the guns and the humans looks good, so therefor 7

Many gun's sound the same, so... yeah. (c)

I like it, but it annoying when your stuck at the same place for 5 - 10 min and just aiming on arabs... it happens at least once every map.

Story 9/10
I love it... just love it. You really get in to the game.

a)For that reason, it is also called "Call of Duty", just pointing out the mere fact that it's the succesor of CoD2, so obviously, it does play exactly the same way.

b)actually, considering this is still the engine used by CoD2, CoD4 masterfully revamped it into a high quality engine, sure, the backgrounds are still preset, because the game isn't using HDR and soforth. Besides, having a realtime rendered background would cause the game to take up twice the resources.

c) i personally think the weapon sounds are very good. They have this "Boom!" effect to them, that's one important factor. They're also high quality. But fear not, i'm pretty sure that in about a week, the mods will start popping up, the countless sound mods as well.

**** sound mods, it's the best sound effects I have ever heard in a game.

i have changed my opinion about the sound... i've played some more and it's awesome.

btw. did anyone else get scared shit by the dogs on the sniper hotel mission? i almost shitted my pants xD... seriously a freaking dog came from nowhere !!!

it's a bit AFTER the hotel thing... it's when your about to run to the chopper


btw. 3 hours?!?!?!? are you a super pro high skilled CoD player? :P i've been playing for at least 5 hours and im on 2nd act...maybe 3rd.

i'm above all NOT pro at all.

Just to say, i have now officially completed the game :s
it's far too short.

then again, there is a replay value with the cheats and all that. Playing CoD in black and white or photo lens, not to mention Slowmo Ability :), ought to be fun.

I was in the Marine Corps from 1998-2003. I will admit that the detailing on the aircrafts and tanks are so exact it's scary when I turn the video card setting to the max and compare the screenies of the abrahams, cobra, ch 46, and black hawks, to one of my cruise year books and pictures from my camping trip in afghanistan and iraq. COD4 got down even the smallest detail, such as fish eyes, ALE pods, and disco ball.

i wonder if we'll get to see Call of Duty 5 Future Warfare some day, then the franchise is complete at long last. or a vechicle addition expansion for CoD4, that ought to be the next battlefield 2 i reckon :)
