And what are you basing this off? Intense research of sifting through random screenshots or maybe 20 minutes of game play?
Anyone that has half a mind would immediately notice the difference between an elite game and secret of solstice. The graphics are similar, but Ragnarok is a million times richer in content, not only that, but many of the game play factors are dramatically better on Ragnarok, and different from Secret of Solstice.
If SoS was truly a RO clone then it would have a better feel, the games are as similar as poop and carnage, this is the same as comparing Trickster to a RO private server.
The concrete fact remains is that SoS is a successor of RO, certainly not a better one, and certainly not a case of copy pasta.
Think before making epically useless threads that have been over debated throughout these forums.

Ever since RO came out, every single shitty imported game is exactly the same but with different graphics. Do you notice how RO and WoW are pretty much the most popular games, and every other game seems to be a dumbed down version of them? Because it works. Developers see people playing it, and create their own shitty game exactly like it but way crappier because they can't fit in all the content or nostalgia.
I blame RO and WoW exclusively for practically ruining the MMORPG industry and driving developers to create these incessant mediocre clones.

it uses the same game engine as RO. Which, in this case, basically makes whatever game they make feel like RO in a sense. It is supposed to be an alternative to RO, that was the intent when they were allowed to use the RO engine.
I find Sos better...
Not because RO is bad but because there's about 200 private servers and the US server full of bots :|...
With Ragnarok being p2p SoS is a good alternate because not only is it free there's no way you can bot!
RO has that feel to it though...
