...When you started playing video games and what was the first one you remember plating?
about 4-5 years old... and i think my first game is super mario bros in nintendo.
About... 4-5 as well...
First game I remember was TMNT on my DOS computer.
I had no idea what I was doing, I didn't know english, I didn't know how to navigate the computer <.< I had like 50 games pre-installed on it, but the chances i'd find a game I played was slim because I clicked up+down+enter repeatedly until I found a game lol
3 years old. Got me a n64 and super mario
2 or 3-ish, I think it was Reader Rabbit or Math Mountain or something like that. The first actual game though was around the age of 4 with Commander Keen, mwahahahah
Edit: It was math mountain, whoops =p
I was 4 years old when I was introduced to the Atari.
I can't even remember... but I think my first game was on a computer with Windows 3.x . I remember it didn't even have a desktop. XD I think the first game I played was Rayman... or some game on my cousin's Sega Saturn (methinks Sonic). :D
I can't remember, I have very little memory of my childhood.
7-8 years ago , JAZZ JACK RABBIT LOL :D
what games do you remember playing on it?
as for me:
amstrad when i was about 4 which my dad got off some dude at work
had a bunch of crappy games, none of which stand out in my memory.
BUT ... i was totally blown away when
my uncle gave me his sega megadrive and the game Truxton
laugh if you like but this game WAS the game for me. i played it nonstop on friday nights and saturday mornings (the only time my parents would allow me to play on the sega). my uncle also gave me a couple of joysticks which were even cooler to use than the normal pads for an arcade shooter. id be fixated in front of that game for hours, often gripping the joystick so hard that ridges would form in the skin on my hands where it was moulding itself to the seams in the plastic.
i remember when i first completed it too. took me about a year of playing it to finally beat the game (on easy) and i got so overexcited that i couldnt stand still for about 5 minutes, i was full of adrenaline and childish exhuberance... then came the heavy realisation that the game would never be as fun again since id completed it and also the ENDING ****ING SUCKED.
Twas defeat in the arms of victory. a most melancholy day indeed.
6 years old, Dig Dug
I was about 4 when I got an NES. Mario much?

a philosophical cookie to whoever can answer this question:
Was Duke Nukem ever a side scroller game?
./hmm
Aahh, I've got one, this is for space sim fans out there. What was a kickass one that not a whole lot of people may of heard of.
Hint 1: it's title has two words
Hint 2: the second word is Velocity
Mine I was really young maybe 5 or 6, the first SNES game I owned was Mighty Max, and got all my NES stuff from my step bro.
I don't have that good of memory to recall how old I was when I played my first video game. Maybe 7-8, It was the beginning of the end though for sure. I remember I played some DOS games like tanks and the little gorillas that throw bananas kind of like gunbound style, you try to hit the other gorilla with your banana. I also had a Sega Genesis(eventually CD) and a SNES, played all kinds of games on them.
7-9, my dad showed me how to download games and emulators, thats how it all started...illegally.O_o
The olden days on a TRS-80. Little 2 pixel lines trying to dodge falling 3 pixel lines. I was 13 at the time
