RF is english i believe
never. Americans are too obsessed with money, british are too obsessed with football (soccer), rugby and f1, while the rest of the english speaking world would rather collaborate with korean gamemakers because they are some of the best in the world...
i find a bit hypocritical that your complaining about asian games when you have a link to a rohan site in your sig.
as for a free to play english game we have anarchy online and shadowbane.
then that rules out my answers, but atleast they are english and free to play now.
There are exceptions to everything and I believe that ROHAN Online will be one of the exceptions to the grind found in Asian MMORPGs. I also think that iRO and Seal Online are exceptions. I'm talking about the majority such as anything created by http://outspark.com, http://netgame.com or http://gpotato.com.
I said an MMORPG created by an English speaking country such as Runescape.
EDIT:Nevermind,it made sense.I'm sorta slow today.
Try some PW games, those are usually created by U.S citizens :P
Nothing comes to mind. I'm sorry :(
You guys do realize that Korean game dev. companies hire quite some western game developers and staff? o_O
It isn't like these companies are made up entirely of Koreans, you know.
I don't care if the games are or aren't created by Asians; I'm sick of the people who buy the rights to foreign games and ruin them when they import them by doing a horrible job. Xenepic Online is much better than Secret of the Solstice; I know that Secret of the Solstice isn't officially released yet, but I can tell that it will never be as good as Xenepic Online.
but i doubt the western people actually help a lot in making games. Maybe they just hire them to ask what does western people likes in games.
Dungeon Runners is the first one that comes to mind.
Wrong, supe. There are many active western game developers in Korean game dev. companies. It should be true the Koreans have more authority in deciding the direction of a game though. It is their company, after all.
yes i know that feyte, but we're talking about the mmorpg companies..
AoC, LOTR, and WARHAMMER are made by English speaking countries.
The country that made it doesn't matter. It's the game itself. All the games that are translated here are just the same game. It's just English translated games tend to have really shitty communities.
What are you rambling about? What I said makes perfect sense to anybody who can read English and is sane. I didn't make a statement; I asked a question.
Tell me of an MMORPG recently(within the last two years) imported from Asia that isn't a long and boring grind. I'm not saying that MMORPGs created in the USA are all great either, but their isn't a new one of them announced every week or month. The only MMORPGs imported from Asia that I like are iRO and ROHAN Online.
I'm not blaming Asia for the bad MMORPGs; it's mostly the fault of the companies that import them to the USA. They rush the process because their goal is to get another MMORPG out the door which some, but not many, people will get attached to. Gravity Interactive and YNK Interactive are great examples of companies that successfully bring Asian MMORPGs to the American market.
Yay for the most popular online game on earth being made in America!
Lol, I think we all kno wat im talkin about.
Not that this is about countries or anything, I was just bored.
Eh, I'm not blaming you for anything. In fact, I agree with you that most MMOs imported from Asia to the west are boooring. I would like to see how a F2p english made game would turn out, too.
Half of that post was a reply to supe... the other part, I admit, is pure rambling xD You probably misunderstood my intentions.
