RAM Problems
I did make a thread about this yesterday but i obviously didnt explain it very well as noone at all replied lol.
My computer takes PC3200 DDR RAM and the 512mb i currently have in my computer is running at 200Mhz. I bought i 1gb stick last week that ran at 400Mhz thinking what the hell why not upgrade, I put it in with my 512mb and it loaded up perfect i went to check how much RAM it said i had and it just said 512mb still. So i took the 512mb out and left the 1gb in and booted up my system but nope it doesnt turn on and it keeps beeping at me. I was wondering if this is because i need 2 of the same stick both running at 400Mhz? or if its just the RAM that doesnt run with my motherboard?
Thanks to anyone that replies would really appreciate the help ^-^

try putting the 1gb stick on the first slot and on the second slot the 512 mb
or try putting the 1gb stick alone

Mines the same.Like in the RAM slots theres 2 blue ones and the rest are black on my motherboard.I tried putting my 512 MB stick in the blue one,but it didn't work.So I put it in the black slot and it worked fine for me.
And as long as your computer allows PC3200 RAM then it's compatible.I use the same type(PC3200) as well as PC4000.And make sure that your ram slots aren't overcapacity.Like make sure that 1 slot can hold 1GB per slot.Mines can hold 1GB per slot. Some computers have lower capacities.
