"MONK" - Your Fave MMO Featuring them.

Alrighty, curious as to peoples favorite mmorpgs that featured a "Monk" style warrior. Light armor, hand weapons or just fists, and fast martial arts action.

I would have to say that FFXI had the Monk class that I enjoyed the most of all games I have played thus far. The sheer strength of them was staggering when in correct groups and I enjoyed OT work as a MNK/WAR. EQ1 would be fairly close as it was a fun class their as well and a unqiue facet with FD pulling.

Guild Wars was the worst having Monks as healers which just annoyed me to know end, even if you could become a virtually unkillable tank.

Monk - Champion of RO ~

Holic had a fun one ^^, only monk besides GW i know. I don't count the monk from GW, because that is just a healer.

Yeah, Holic's is decent.
Definately the Champion on RO too.

RO and 9Dragon... 9Dragon's is the Shaolin Monk, how genuine can the monk class get~

Monk - a member of a religious community of men typically living under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

Depending on which school they study under, "MONKS" do different things. Healer monk are normal(Religious types, such as clerics are technically monks), as are fighting monks.(A Shaolin Monk is the best example of a fighting monk)

Well, I like running as Monk/Warrior smiter in GW.
But then for martial arts style could be in 9Dragons.

Holic is the best monk I've ever playe. Awsome giant hammers, what more could a guy want?:D

Final Fantasy XI Monks by far. They're fun and extremely easy to play.

That's right. In fact, my main job right now is MNK, and I must say that it's way more fun than most of the jobs I've tried at this point.

2nd Job 2-2 Monk RO

LOL x) that champ just used his asura on a poring <3 poor thing ;A; it did nothing to deserve that asura~ it just needs a novice or two to jab its daggers at it.

btw, i'm not sure if the assassin from martial heroes count, but since it wears light clothing and carries daggers/claws (works perfectly fine without them on lower lvls X3~), i shall say that i prefer them since they're fun to play with~

EQ had some awesome monks.

asheron's call monk build by far some of the most bad ass ive ever seen in any game.

FFXI MNK. EZ-Mode class, lol. I remember falling asleep in PTs playing as this class, lol.
