You could always also get a USB keyboard, which I'm pretty damned sure works with the 360. Can't be completely sure about the mouse, but it's possible. Try it out.

Do you gusy know if the 360 needs a special type of mouse/keyboard thingy or just a regular USB one?

You can most likely use any, but I'm sure Microsoft has made some specifically for the 360.
