I have not seen a post by you without saying how great SP1 is, perhaps you have a fetish for the game? It's a foreign game not in English, which means it should be in the Korean/Foreign games section. You have fun with the game? Great! Play the game, don't on and on about how great it is, because some people are not able to play it. Just play it and stop saying how great it is, you probably wasted more time talking about the game than playing it.Quote:

no actually SP1 does have alot of problems with it, it's just i think it's doing something new for once....
problems with sp1
targeting system sometimes acts like crap where even if i lock on to something i can't attack it...
exp at later lvls is crap taking hours to lvl just once even in the 20's
it does have some problems with alot of the same mobs in certain areas...
some quests are bugged still ( but it is still in beta
and why not talk alot about something you like the people over in the crappy game WoW do it all the time...they try to bash any other mmorpg saying they copied it from WoW...lets see them try it with this game...
those are just a few of the problems
i didn't ask for a flame thread i asked for ideas on mmorpgs that are doing something unique and new...
nope i just used sp1 for an example as what to post about the game you like and feel is refreshing from other generic mmorpgs out thereQuote:

I think Nexon does a great job of bringing out new and refreshing games sp1 is just one of them but they have many more

look at all the game they have and alot of them are different from the ordinary mmorpg ( some even aren't mmorpgs)
developers will create something new if they think people will like it ( the problem is they don't have the balls to take the risk)
now can we get on to why i created this topic and that is to list games that you feel are unique and new in some way
Or they just want to get by by trying to make something generic and get money from it. I agree a lot of games are very original but instead of continuing to update the games to make them have more and more features they decide to ditch it and make a totally new game for the reason I stated before.Quote:

As far as I'm concerned topics don't have a "purpose" other than to spark public conversation using typed words on a forum therefor all topics are pretty much fair game. I'm not flaming, I'm just pointing out why games seem to be extremely generic and without a flare that seems to separate them from each other other than there names.Quote:

No your right, not all of them are completely unoriginal, but I have yet to see an MMORPG thats f2p that only updates their game with lots of new content instead of going off into another game and developing for it, completely abandoning their earlier work.
well if it's f2p i don't see why they have to continue updating it...
if you buy a game at a store your buying the game in the box and that is all your not getting anything else added....
if you play a f2p mmorpg your not really even paying anything at the start....and not everything is meant to go on forever.....
even WoW will soon die off

Its called "Priest" and its claimed to be crappy for some reason..looks really cool though. Looks like Gunz except MMORPG.
and what i mean about unique is anything that will separate your mmorpg from the rest in some way...
oh that game doesn't look that good and i don;t think it's an mmorpg....

I would be able to point out a few games that are unique if only there were such a thing in english...
Though cabal's combo system was fairly unique, doesn't really make the game that much more interesting though.
I think that there are no games Unique enough to seperate them from the rest of the MMOs,that would require some EXTREME innovative thinking.
For example,im hooked on Tenvi right now,i love it alot,but to the average person its just another 2d sidescroller or it looks like maple story,even though it has unique functions and awesome gameplay.
point is just find something you can enjoy playing,dont look for a game with total uniqueness because such a thing doesn't exist now a days
i just listed some unique games rusty hearts was one being the most unique i have seen for mmorpgs.....
sp1 is only uniques because the graphics system is brand new built from the bottom up....and the story and game settings is very original for mmorpgs
the most unique mmorpg i see coming out if it ever does is darkfall....
