Diablo 3 Announcement!

Watching the gameplay this game look AMAZINGLY boring>_> The Dev said destrutable enviroment when its not fully just because you broke a table doesn't mean you have created the ultimate enviroment. The graphics are Ok last gen really not that im a graphics ***** i still play doom. The combat is nothing special seems like they have made no changes or added anything cool. Crafting or Enchanting weapons well woopdy fecking doo like that hasn't been in a game ever. Overall the game so looks to be a disapointment and the only impressive thing ive seen is the cimematic.

The real question is; when will it go gold?

Okay, they wont make it mod friendly, that still doesn't mean it wont get done. I can assure you that someone will attempt to fix what has happened here, this isn't the way you treat fans who've waited eight years for this ****ing game.

Diablo had a more realistic look to it, which is why I played it and not Warcraft. If I wanted to play a game that looked like WoW, I'd play WoW.

You play diablo for graphics, you joking right? Who cares its 1d,2d,3d or 4d. they simply put diablo 3 as a next generation game with "nice" graphics. What makes diablo so special is the loot system. All the items/uniques/sets/runewords/etc etc. Thats is its selling point. Not graphics!

I don't care about it's graphics, dumbass. It could be as good looking as crysis or as dated as DOOM, it doesn't matter. What DOES matter is the ****ing art style. It looks nothing like Diablo.

Fact is, Diablo III has an art style like this to pull in casuals that play WoW. When they should be targeting the hardcore players, the ones that'll play the game for eight+ years.

Makes me sick.

You dont care about graphics, but you do care about art style. That actually made me laugh. Thanks for that. I'm a dumbass? That made me laugh again.

Now, the only thing that is important, is the gameplay. I do hope the old "diablo" feeling is still there. And from seeing the first gameplay movie, im sure they did just that. They know gameplay is everything. And i'm confident they dont change the winning formula.

I also been a diablo addict since diablo1 way back. You cant make a new game with the same "style" graphics as D2. You even know how old D2 is? I'm glad they put D3 into a new fresh coat.

had to post here, this is something i waited for. Still play D2 lol since i was 9 yrs old and im almost 20 xP

Interesting. Someone should make a poll on this. What kind of graphic style you prefer for D3. Neebus maybe.

I dont see why people like dark bland colorless maps. Gothic style? Maybe its the amount of emo gamers that want this? Dont get me wrong, I would still play it either way. Still we havnt seen that many locations, there could be very dark locations. But then again, if you really like that so much; go play D3 with shades on. :)

Amazing what a little color palette swap (or shading) will do to a game. Honestly the game looks fine (the default colors makes the game stand out more), graphically it looks impressive. And the game doesn't look "cartoony" like World of Warcraft.

But yea, damn thats 3 PC games I have to buy: Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, and Warhammer40k Dawn of War 2.

Will not be a mod- friendly game.

good thing is it doesnt really look like its gonna be a heavy game. think my 1/2 years old pc can handle it :) btw i'm sure there will be enough darkish places to discover in this game. if the whole game would be grey/brownish people would get depresive pretty quick =p

Maybe I misunderstood the intentions they had when saying that statement, but what I am thinking of is all the mods on the 'unofficial' battle.net servers. The ones where you could hack. You might go out of the first town and see Diablo spawns and Baal spawns running around. I'm not sure if they meant none of those, or no mods on the official battle.net servers.

Actually, D2 has tons of mods. Singleplayer mods mind you. Some are like a total rehaul, and look nothing like D2. With a complete new story and everything. But I dont play diablo for itsingleplayer aspect, when there is such a great thing called battle.net

Diablo 2 was never mod friendly. There was never any custom content allowed for it, so I have no clue what your talking about. Rust Storm and all past patches would come by and ban anyone who even loaded any sort of Mod in there game. Mods usually ment Maphacks and Dupes galore. I'm glad there keeping the tradition.

OT: I creamed. :D I really cannot wait for this game. I'm all excited that I'm looking for my D2 CDs. XD

Just dowloaded both of the videos. (from the cinematics one, it seems Diablo will be there o_o) The gameplay video is amazing, I came.

Meh, art style is important to the game.


Imagine playing Diablo 2.

But rather than fireballs, you're throwing big sparkling rainbows, rather than dungeons, you're in a chocolate castle, rather than zombies, you're fighting carebears and tellytubbies.


Gameplay would be the same, but, the art style would be different. It would however, completely change the gaming experience.

Ah epic announcements. I'm guessing 09 for this? SC2 still has a long way to go and that was announced a while back too.

It's hard to tell. I know that D3 has been going under development for 4 years now, but not sure about SC2. I'd take a wild guess and say that D3 would turn gold before SC2, hopefully this year. Just my wishful thinking though. ~_~
