@Greed There's been a way to fix that black screen error for a while now, you just set the parameters in the userPreferences.properties file to say "fullscreen=false" and it'll work. If it hangs at a brown screen with a black emblem in front then you need to update your Java.
@Slade you'll have to get a CB key and try it for yourself. ;)
