I got to say I'd like to see Tokyo to pull it off. Knowing Japan they can probably put together a very nice and interesting venue.

IF YOU HAVEN'T LOOK IT UP. I would vote for Rio De Janeiro there has never been an Olympics held in South America and I think it is a great time to do it.

Japan had the Olympics like 50 years ago. As far as Chicago they never had it, the 2004 Olympics was Athens.

Rio De Janeiro... well i mean its not exactly the ideal place for tourists.

Brazil, as I live a bridge away from Rio de Janeiro...
Olympics would be greeaat... But the problem is that Brazil got the lowest grades I think, and I don't believe we will be able to receive such an event like that, because I know who the presidents are and 8 years are a short time for them to change something really important, like security :/

Well... I agree with you about the crime in the city, but I don't think the economy is so weak like that, and lack of tourist interest? You must be kidding... There are a considerable amount of tourists every day in Rio, they come here because of the beaches, the Cristo Redentor (big Jesus in the picture), the girls and other beautiful places, like some parts of the city centre have a beautiful architeture, from the colonization time... I won't say every touristic place, there are lots...
But yeah.. the violence and crime are probably the things that won't make Rio hold the Olympics :/
