lol I agree but give it time for it to be accepted fully (prolly a couple hundred years, expect thousands if a new religion or two pops up)

I think we all agree about the point that noone knows what happens after you die.
it was a joke......
actually whoever tells me to prove that something doesn't exist is already dumber than I could possibly describe.....
has anyone thought of that statement?
prove to me that it doesn't exist
well first thing..... if somehow you are right and it doesn't exist......how would you prove it?
you can't use any of the senses to show the person proof......if something doesn't exist then it doesn't leave any trace of evidence behind.....and without evidence you can't prove it....
so I come to the conclusion that anyone who asks that question is already insane and explaining anything to them is a waste of time....so if anyone uses that as an excuse please find the nearest exit and leave them to their own dribble.....
this thread is unofficially pointless.
lol I have it as a sig...because I believe stupid questions deserve stupid answers
Well, I believe in God and Jesus and bible and all that. Those who dont.. well like V-Op said, it'll be one hell of a rude awakening when the time comes.
No flames plx btw, it wont change my opinions.
Actually, We're all dead. we are simply a digital similation(sp?) of who we are when we were alive. meaning we're living in a giant server that looks like the earth (which is now, in reality, deserted)
actually, there was an anime that was like that. damit, if only i could rememebr the name of it. it was pretty kool too. with giant robots and stuff like EVA.
I believe in pink unicorns which can shit out small green leprechauns that if you are able to spew enough BS out of your mouth you can convince them to show you their pot of gold.
I really don't care for much on using faith to prove ultimate reality when I don't have any evidence....(well actually faith is the lack of logical thinking, it usually lacks evidence too)
If you can't show me any evidence I won't believe you at all....which is why I love science....
yes you guessed it I am Atheist
if you can prove to me that some spiritual entity of supreme power does exist then I will change my beliefs but until then I stand on the side of logical thinking...
oh and to answer a previous post...babies aren't blind when born but their eyesight is horrible they can only see like 18 inches ahead which is why the mother will generally bring their face that close to an infant for interaction....
I reckon that their is an afterlife of some sort but knowing about it would take the fun out of life. :p
Atheist: Someone who doesn't believe in any spiritual being.
Agnostic: Someone who doesn't believe in god, but believes that there is something.
I'm Agnostic.
I'm 14, that proves my faith, my dad is a Christian freak, preaching how Jesus loves us.
It didn't work ;P. My mom made us stop going to church, thank god--Wait...
Thank my mom or something.
At first though, I was scared of dying, but now I Accepted it. I could be in a middle of a gang fight, I'd be scared of the PAIN, not the actual dying though.
"Oh well, I'll die sooner or later, I'll just welcome anything."
By The Way... This was a Thread About death, not religion, why the **** hasn't it been locked? >_>
actualy he didnt mean it as a joke he didnt even have it in his signature tell i was talking to him in another thread.
there plenty things that been proven thats in the bible and plenty thing thats will be impossible to prove.same with science some things can be proven but other things are in question.
i know what happens when we die.....but if i tell ya id have to kill ya....
lol jp but in all honesty i really do wonder what happens when we die....to be honest with you guys it kinda scares me because what if when we die we just lay there and can still feel everything but are just paralyzed completely and have things eating away our skin and all that.....or what if there is a god and he punishes us for doubting him.....or what if we are reincarnated into a tree or an insect of some sort
Enjoy your life, don't get wrapped up on what happens after death. If you do; then you might die with many regrets.
Oh how I love the uninformed.
I'm agnostic, I neither confirm nor deny.
Fact is, nobody can prove EITHER side. You with all of your science cannot disprove God, just like people cannot prove God. The LOGICAL conclusion is to say "Well, neither side is ever going to be proven right, so I won't conform to either.". THAT is the logical side.
Nobody knows the answer, so why conform to either side?
What I can't stand is your sense of cocky athiesm, you are as close to a solution and conclusion as any christian is, so chill out with the smarmy bullshit. You aren't "sure" of anything but what you believe, not that this belief is true. You cannot be 100% sure athiesm is right because you cannot prove it 100%, like no religious person can.
You say "I love science.", science isn't any closer to an answer, you realise.
The fact is, we'll never know. I think it's sheer ignorance to conform to either side, because of this. I will never have an answer, and I don't know if God does or doesn't exist, so why should I make a choice?
This world we are living in now could be some kind of purgatory.
If god created this world wouldn't he make everything perfect?
Since we can feel pain and everyone is greedy and selfish it resembles purgatory more then the real world.
Or the world is just a video game I bought that takes longer then expected....
Even longer then some of my Final Fantasy save games.
EDIT - Would the game I bought prehaps be GTA "enter large number here"?
Yeah man. I'm totally into the reincarnation idea. I don't necessarily think it means you are human. Shit, it could be ANYTHING. The first light a baby bird sees when an egg cracks...the first light a plant sees when it grows. Hell...even a "big bang" that creates a universe (you could be a new planet).
The possibilities are endless.
It could also explain still born children...if you have ever had an experience where you've been really close to dying, you can relate. You might SEE the light, but then there is a pulling feeling, and you go away from it. :-/
It just makes me feel better to think like that. If I die, and just rot in the ground...shit, thats OK too. But I know matter cannot be created or destroyed, just changed...and I like to think that way about life as well.
Yes, I do believe in God, I'm catholic. But the reincarnation thing has been on my mind for so long now, that I've started to believe in it. Maybe not as a human, but as any other life form, who knows?
I believe that once we die, we cease to exist. There is literally nothing.
Imagine going to sleep and not dreaming but not waking up.
That is death to me.
I wonder how everyone ups there rep o.O
