Atlantica Good news Or Bad news AGAIN!

Dear Atlantica Online Players,



The first phase of the closed beta has now ended. We want to offer a sincere thanks to all of you who participated in this first phase. Your play and feedback have been instrumental in our efforts to improve the game for everyone.



However, our work is still not done. We need to make some changes and updates to further refine the game, and so Atlantica will be offline until August.



When the closed beta resumes, we are asking you to start anew, as all characters will be wiped and you will need to create a new character under your account. We didn’t reach the number of players partaking in the closed beta to fully test the game. But more importantly, we need you to begin at the beginning once more so we can test the upgrades made to the game, as you will help us further in the effort to make the Atlantica experience better. (As promised in the Events, players who met the Level 20 requirement can re-use their previous characters’ name, which will remain in the blue color.)

Guess they want to overcheck bugs just incase (or they are stalling for time whilst the original makers of the game translate and fix stuff for them, which is the usual).

Well atleast it's a clean slate now so everything's fair.

Yeah..start-over..yeah...umm..another wipe? If that happens I will stop playing, I wanted the first wipe..but if there is a second, I am done.

If you truly like a game it wouldn't matter.

You know the point of closed beta is to TEST for bugs. You are not playing for your enjoyment but for the ability to catch the bugs before they release.

I'm glad of Wipe cause I didn't like my character look XD

doesn't matter at all for me.. they can wipe as much as they want lol

Mmm..yes I knew I was gonna get flamed, but you miss my point. I do not play MMORPGS 24/7 and I cant afford to waste days/months playing an MMORPG to have it wiped (Yeah it was only a week). And the bugs are pretty much fixed. Oh well. I wont be on as much come THIS Cb

We all know imported games don't really need any testing, they've all got an off site, different country team doing all the bug fixing and translation typos anyway.

They are basically just publishing an imported game, nothing drastic can be changed, all bugs have probably already been found already, just typos or grammatical errors in text.

Betas (for imported games) basically are just to hype the game :hmm, correct typos >_> and stress test their servers.

I'm gonna try an archer this time around. I wanna get a feel for the classes before it goes live.

Me too lol. I had the shittiest party set up ever. Got manhandled soo many times by a couple of koreans who had weird setups but proved to be VERY good in both pvp and pve. (Some guy 2 levels lower than me had a party of 5 spearmen, a shaman, a monk, two vikings)

Alpaca...where have i heard that from? I think from the Disney's Emperor's Groove or something like that. Concidentally the movie was about a spoiled emperor being turned into a llama...-_-

Yes I know about this, I've been testing out these games for many years now. But seeing as most of the F2P games I have tried out (in CBT) There are bugs still, I have no idea why. I have tried almost everything out there that was posted on this site.

The truth is, if you intend to "play" something in CBT and don't expect a wipe on the horizon, you're just in denial.

Play something that isn't bound to have a wipe if you're so worried about wasting time.

Freeloaders don't get a special treatment.

well this next phase is pretty much a take it or leave it. For many people this will be a great way to test out some new setup before heading into the completely permanent stage of the game...for others it's just a waste of time.

as much as people like to think that imported games often have little to no bugs, it's not right. There were quite a few problems that need to be addressed as far as this game goes. And depends on the company, not every company follows the foreign mother model for their international game version. Some companies do change their int. version to better fit the different player base, and with that comes bugs.

Well that's the end of me playing that.

On another note, its another CB and you're NOT required to play it
you can always wait for OB/launch so what's with the quitters/whiners.

This is good news.

I hope they make a Shader Disabling option, just like some other game, that I dont remember the name, did on its second CB.

I am Glad theres a Wipe Cuz i messed up my Shaman. And this time I am going either Spear or Cannon this time. Cuz Swords man is to "Ugh". :D
