5'11" is too short for guard in basetball, at least at the college level. A scout will probably ignore you if you put that on the form, but if you put 6'2" he'll come and check you out. At that point, it's all about your skill, and the height is out the window.
You think Spud Webb could have gotten into a good college if he went around sporting his real height. No, he most likely left it off or added a couple inches minimum. No one wants a short basketball player on a pro team, but when people saw him play they realized he was the real deal.
It just gives you an edge, it's like bullshitting your college application. Hilary Clinton is not really anyone's role model, it's just bullshit for the essay.
Edit: Yeah, I'm a terrible runner. Mainly because my lung capacity isn't all that good. If I pace myself, I can run for awhile. But I'm not one of those guys who can sprint for a long time. I did 25 suicides in basketball practice one day and wasn't tired, mainly because we jogged it. I'm sure you're in better shape running-wise, but to be honest I prefer to be good at basketball and baseball over track and swimming. :P Although swimming is extremely fun, I can't even dive off the side properly. Lmao.
