When the expansion came out, my friend and I could get a character to 85+ in 7-8 hours on Closed Bnet.

Only three that aren't failing at the moment, least that's my opinion-
Kingdom of Loathing-Defies the logic of 'mmo' yet maintains its self as an mmorpg due to clever development and graphic elements, they have a radio station, their music selection is college garbage but the djs can be funny and seem cool enough, the only non-profit online title that grabbed me, and held on like i was it's last hope of salvation. Funny as all hell imo.
Number two on my list is borderline in the mmorpg consideration as a category- Which it is, a game called Monster Hunter 2 which i am sure many of you have heard of,it's a challenge but it's so far from traditional so it's a gray are in 'mmorpg' land, has dedicated servers or you can host your own, has a small community which isn't bad cause for the most part it filters out jerks, freaks and creeps-fun stuff if you ask me
Third is Phantasy Star Universe- Why? Hell if I know, maybe memories from pso on the dreamcast at its prime, or maybe the small but close-knit community that hardly grieves anyone with an exception of a few fat kids who constantly pms- you know who you are, don't play bashful let yourselves be known! I go back to it time after time in roughly three month spurts and then try other things, rinse, repeat- it has fun competitions, it's not as easy mode as 99% of modern mmos and it's sci fi themed which = win in my book.
