The government never said it was aliens. They stated from the start that it was a weather balloon. Aliens did not crash in Roswell, New Mexico. End of story.

I stand corrected but they did mention flying disc. Later it was said it was attached to balloon. But the facts remains that later people cam froward and stated that they saw things. Like I said before I don't know what it is that really landed there. Besides do you really believe everything the government tells you? That's the bigger issue here they lie so much to people it's hard to know when they are telling the truth.
