I feel bad for anyone hyping this game. I can't wait till everyone finds out this game sucks just as much as AoC.

i find it nonetheless, equally unjustified to claim that WAR has no possibility of failing.
It is not so that, just because it's a game from mythic, it can't fail.
Not all developpers are Blizzard or Bioware (with little to no failing title in there list of productions).
New life in the genre? i doubt that as well, the PvP aspect has been done before and is a slight revitalisation of a former concept.
as you might have noticed, i am personally not hyped, excited about WAR at all, partly because i hardly have interest in the concept, the execution and above graphic style.
What i think will happen is yet again a biased review by IGN and Gamespot "because it's warhammer" or "because Mythic made it"
hm ... that i would still beg to differ to be honest.
the dutch community (of whom i know of course) never mentioned Conan itself as a reason for playing it, but rather the "innovative" controls, the graphics and the PvP.
but i sincerely doubt that the lore of Conan is the main reason though.
After all, i believe Conan is inferior in terms of being known compared to Warhammer and Diablo
Conan was not the main reason people played the game.
It was the promise of an all out PVP system -- new controls etc. This was not fulfilled and is why the game is currently in the state it is now. With more and more people leaving everyday. People will join back if and only if they ever fix all their bugs and pvp system. It's pretty carebear.
Reputation: 10One of two things will be happening for WAR soon, either they will push it back, or it will launch and people will be paying to continue the beta test. I've been in the beta for a good number of months now, and while they've made substantial improvements, the game is far from finished. There are numerous points of key content missing and the advancement system leaves you feeling unfulfilled, I'm being vague since the NDA is in effect, but trust me, this game will be either a late bloomer or a flop.
Saying that WAR will fail is like saying Daoc failed, and that's enough for me to mark you as someone who has no freakin idea what they're talking about.
