    Are you using a wireless router? Check your speed here, and post the results. Just like sweeps said, it might be on your ISP's side.

    Well, it's better than 60/kbps , what operating system are you using?

    For Windows XP follow these instructions ;

    1) Go to the Start Menu and click Control Panel

    2) Make sure it's in Category View, and click Network and Internet Connections

    3) Click My Network Places on the left side, then click View Network Connections, also on the left side.

    4) Right click any of your connections and click Repair

    That should help, a little.

    EDIT: You haven't seen your internet download at 500? Then nothing must be wrong..?

    Ahh! Well.. do you have that globe thingy at the bottom right corner of your screen? If you do, right click it and click, repair and diagnose, or something to that effect.

    Oh, well I'm really stumped, try deleting internet cookies and caches, then try the speed test again.

    the generic download rule is you downloadspeed/8

    meaning if you have a 579kbps connection you download about 70kbps

    check your ISPs site and at your subscription for any changes

    I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
