I thought it'd be neat to have a thread dedicated to S4 strategies. Here's mine:
Equips: Semi Rifle, Dual Guns, Counter Sword
Skills: Either hp30 or sp recharge
Tactic: What I do is I side jump (a technique I named myself blah blah) basically you jump forward. Then quickly turn to the right (or left) and do a bullet dodge (Space+A Space+D). This acts like a double jump and it makes you hard to hit.
Never run backwards when fighting. Use the semi rifle to longrange/snipe. When you approach someone use the dual guns, and dont forget to Space A/D, it helps. and when you get close enough jump a final time and switch to the countersword in midair and left click to come down with a stun(?).
Yes this is abusing the hell out of your space bar and moving your mouse in rapid strokes left and right, but it works I average 50-4~6 on DM's.
A little hints if you want to use this method:
Shoot for the head, it makes it critically shot(2x damage or so).
dont hold down the click, press and let go. This allows you to Space A/D. You can't Space A/D while shooting so do it in between shots.
The semi rifle is good at medium range if you blew your clip on your dual guns, just aim for the head (it does more on a critical, tested and true.)
NEVER RELOAD during a fight. You have a sword that has infinite ammo, you should only blow about 2~6 (at most) ammo on the dual guns when approaching. You want to constantly be doing damage. When you reload you are vulnerable. You can't shoot nor space A/D.
Never switch to an empty gun in combat he will automatically reload, if you need to space A/D switch to your sword real fast and switch back.
Dont be afraid of switching weapons. It is instant and there is NO lagtime. If you accidentally switch to your sword too early switch back for a few seconds.
Always try to reload behind cover and away from combat, make sure both guns are at full ammo before starting another fight.
Anyone wanna post theirs? I just thought this would help because I get 1st almost every time.
Wall+dualies+revolver+counter
Tactics-Wall their escape route and snipe em with my dualies.
And if they get too close or theres some crazy battle going on with a ally outnumbered i pull out my counter and slaughter them with AoE.
Dualies are for close range ironicly I tend to side step and shoot.
Walls are also for fun trapping people.
