The game is fun at level 30+ but then at level 71 most people quit unless they hack or seriously love the game.

Reputation: 22I like Maple Story. :3
Reputation: 22Anyone would play Ijji I could easily just borrow my friends lvl 50 account to play and avoid the grind. Which is basically the same as going to a private server and grinding to lvl 50 in a day? Same results maybe different items but I doubt that is the reason people go to Private servers. Would that make me a Lazy? Probably but no one wants to grind to play a game where PvP is the fun.
Reputation: 482I wonder sometimes if you guys actually sit back and really think about what you say.
You know the really interesting thing? When you look back the majority of the posts you see people arguing not over if maplestory is a good or bad game, but rather the exp rates for the game and playing it on private servers with better communities (which really shouldn't be the way you review a game btw). If the game is really as bad as you say it is then why play the game at all? if the game is so unbearable, why do you complain about the grind then go play in a private server?
What some of you are saying and doing do not follow logic. What a number of you and others have basically said is that "I hate maple story because I don't like how long it takes for me to level and the people I play with so I go play maplestory (the game I just said I hate) with people I like and so I can level faster. Does that make sense?
It's like I said the majority of problems people have with the game is 1) the exp rates and 2) the community. me personally, I don't play games to be a certian level and I have a tight knit of friends I play games with or I solo so exp rates and communities don't phase me but...if you really hate a game, why play it at all?
let me use an example so you can really see what you guys are doing. It's like this people:
Someone asks you "do you like posting at onrpg.com?" and you reply "no I hate posting at onrpg because the free mmorpg community sucks, it takes a long time to reach that onrpg elite member status so people will respect me (yeah right), and the posts really are not filled with much content because the users act like little kids who constantly flame me for sharing my opinion. I only post in the general section because it's easier to get my post count up without having problems with people all the time and I can enjoy discuss topics I like with people I like."
What you fail to notice is that you don't hate everything about the forums at onrpg, you just hate a portion of it which is understandable. But you don't hate the whole thing, because if it really bothered you so much you would not post at the forum, period. See what I'm trying to say?
*There may be some very annoying people and some really dumb things said here but overall this place is not a bad way to kill some time especially if you have time to waste posting in a forum in the first place. Even more so considering the multitudes of forums there are on the net. * That's all I'm saying.
*This was a parallelism to MapleStory.
I like Maple Story whether or not you all do, that doesnt concern me one bit. You all can go play S4, Rohan, WoKF, Sotnw, or whatever. No one flames you or anything of the sort for playing whatever you do. I see no reason to pick people who play maple story to flame.

Reputation: 10Could it be that you don't hate a game, but you hate PLAYING the game because the community is shit or the exp makes you do the same action 50,000 times before anything changes?
game = fun. game without fun = not a very good game!
online game = game + community = fun. online game = game + horrible community = not a very good online game!
Some people have different ideas of what a bad community is, some people enjoy being a piece of the bad community, either way, that's the logic.
Shhh. LaTale is out now
